An Open Letter to Trump Supporters

Donald Trump is gone. No storm broke. No reckoning came. There was no plan. In his place, a career politician assumed the presidency. Joe Biden muttered some platitudes. Most people have already forgotten them, probably including Joe Biden.

We’re told the inauguration was historic and dramatic. It was banal and boring. It celebrated mediocrity. It had about as much dignity as getting your driver’s license — which has more personal meaning.

Everyone has strong opinions about President Donald Trump. It’s hard to feel anything about President Joe Biden. Few attended his rallies or watched them online. He ran a modern-day front-porch campaign, as media and tech companies censored the opposition. He was a prop, a spectator to his own march to power.

The election was a referendum on President Trump. Many believe the election was stolen. You may be one of them, and you may be right. Some politicians and journalists accuse President Trump of attempting a coup, and they may even believe it.

Mr. Trump told his supporters to be patriotic and peaceful. The media have certainly soft-pedaled that. But he didn’t march with his people to the Capitol. He went home. What was supposed to happen? His supporters didn’t know. I don’t think President Trump knew. What did Ashli Babbitt die for? Now, we can ask the same question about the entire Trump administration.

Maybe you still believe in President Trump. You say his allies betrayed him. You say he turned his back on a life of luxury that men dream of in order to save his country.

His supposed friends — from Michael Cohen to Anthony Scaramucci — turned on him, flaunting their dishonor as heroism. Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and other Republicans were happy to use President Trump when they needed him, but once his usefulness ended, they dumped him. They tell us the president of the United States is the most powerful man in the world. Today, he can’t even send a tweet.

Perhaps you are less charitable. You may think President Trump betrayed you. You followed him to the end, even beyond the end. He gave Kim Kardashian more support than he gave you. The people who put their bodies on the line for him won’t get a pardon, but Jared Kushner’s father did.

When our rulers say “our democracy,” they mean the Regime that governs us. Whoever they are referring to when they say those words, it doesn’t include us.

The fact remains that if President Trump had told people to march on Washington, they would have. After years of failure, pandering, betrayal, and weakness, they still were willing to face armed men in his name. One died for him.

President Biden took his oath guarded by troops that he doesn’t trust. The FBI vetted every one of those 25,000 men to make sure they weren’t “white supremacists.” The people who tell us walls don’t work surrounded themselves with walls and barbed wire. Federal agents who let cities burn all summer are now arresting and humiliating those who had dared trespass in the “temple of democracy.”

Government, oligarchs, and billionaires ruin the lives of the people they don’t like while progressives cheer. Leaders of NGOs rage because teenagers can host podcasts and post on 4chan. CNN wants to shut down dissidents on YouTube because more people watch livestreams than watch their darling Brian Stelter.

Journalists who encouraged riots that left dozens dead tell us we have to stop misinformation. Regime media and its politicians want a “domestic terrorism” law that would stifle Trump supporters. The Daily Beast wants secret police. Journalists have been joined by volunteer commissars to hunt down co-workers, friends, and family who attended the January 6 rally.

Regime media use words like “traitor,” “sedition,” and “insurrectionist.” The sentence for treason is death. Do they want to kill people?

But what did President Trump actually do as President? Not much. In 2016, after the most remarkable, unlikely, and miraculous campaign in American history, President Trump governed like a normal Republican. He did not deport illegals, make English the official language, or tax remittances to Mexico. He did not abolish birth-right citizenship. He was not a “white nationalist.” He did not even eliminate race-based discrimination against whites and Asians.

President Trump was softer on crime than Bill Clinton. He was weaker on riots than George H.W. Bush. President Trump is leaving office not because he was strong, but because he was weak. He did not defy the “Swamp.” He couldn’t defy his son-in-law.

The “new” president is a man who was a political relic even when he was Barack Obama’s vice president. If 2016 was the “Flight 93” Election, we successfully stormed the cockpit and then pushed the control stick straight down. But let’s give Donald Trump credit: Whether he meant to or not, he did something no other politician, activist, or artist ever could. He forced the Regime and its servants to reveal themselves. They no longer disguise their intensions. They tell us what they think of us and what they want to do.

This tells us what journalists think the rally was about. I doubt it’s what any of the Trump supporters thought it was about. President Trump never praised American whites or offered a program for our benefit. He has done so countless times for other groups. Any “white nationalist” who supports President Trump is a glutton for punishment.

As a Trump supporter, I doubt you think you are a “white nationalist,” let alone a “white supremacist.” These words once meant something. Today, they are just smears, random noises journalists make to identify people they don’t like. People use words to maintain power. Our opinions would matter if we had power, but we don’t.

We can define ourselves however we want, but in the economy, at university, in the media, or anywhere in public, we can’t define ourselves. Those with power define us. And the people who have power say you are racist.

You’ve probably noticed that the people who lecture you about “white privilege” are some of the most privileged people in the world. Take a step back and see our situation for what it is.

From third-grade classrooms to the Ivy League, from the Fortune 500 to the NBA, from the Communist Party to the Libertarians, from the Vatican to the Satanic Temple, almost every institution in what we still deludedly call “Western Civilization” agrees that “racism” is the defining evil of our time.

You’ve heard of white privilege, institutional racism, systemic inequality, and antiracism. These phrases mean that if you are white you are always racist no matter what you do. Our own children are taught to hate themselves, thrown into a cult in which there is no salvation.

Many Americans voted for Barack Obama because they thought it meant we could get past race. Instead, race is almost all we talk about, and we get new double standards practically every day:

• Race is a social construct and whiteness is a privilege, but it’s a scandal when a white person abandons that “privilege” and pretends to be black or Hispanic.
• IQ tests are biased towards whites, but Asians score higher on IQ tests and Asian-Americans out-earn whites in the United States.
• Diversity is our greatest strength, but Amazon recognizes that ethnic diversity prevents unionization because a diverse workforce has fewer common interests.
• Moving into a black area is racist because it’s gentrification. Leaving one is also racist because it’s white flight.
• Using anything from another culture is cultural appropriation when whites do it, but it’s wonderful when non-whites take over European history.
• According to the doctrine of disparate impact, any non-discriminatory policy that results in group differences is racist — but only if blacks don’t benefit. Anything that helps them — even deliberately — is, by definition, not racist.
• Whites are privileged because they have disproportionate power and wealth, but if you notice that the most disproportionately powerful and wealthy are Jews, that’s antisemitism.
• White racism torments black bodies, which is why blacks need to be protected from anything “offensive.” One of those offensive things would be to point out that any given black person is 48 times more likely to commit violence against a white person than the other way around.
• We live in a world where a politician who says “All Lives Matter” is considered “disgusting.”

This isn’t just the destruction of monuments, a “Black National Anthem” you have to listen to before the game, or the diversity training you sit through. It’s in the school curriculums. It’s the state-mandated discrimination against whites. It’s the knowledge that every interaction with a non-white could “go viral” and end your career. If you feel threatened, you may be the criminal if you call the police. If you defend yourself against an attacker, you must weigh the chances of being killed against whether you will face hate-crime charges.

If you violate “our values” of anti-racism, you are barely human. Your family may face pressure to join the campaign against you. It may lead it. Jake Gardner was a former Marine who owned a bar. His business was being destroyed by Black Lives Matter rioters. The police did not respond. Protesters attacked Mr. Gardner, and he fired in self-defense. The District Attorney ruled it was self-defense. After media promoted the story, a grand jury indicted him anyway. He shot himself, having lost faith in the system he served.

Christopher Georgia was a bank manager in Fulton County. Police charged him with “unlawful entry of public property” and violating a curfew after the Capitol Hill riot. There are countless examples of leftists doing this without consequences, but a white bank manager faces severe penalties. He killed himself.

Ashli Babbitt was an Air Force veteran who participated in the Capitol occupation. She carried no weapon and had armed police on both sides of her. A Capitol policeman shot and killed her. Progressives celebrated her death. The New York Times, Washington Post, and NPR smeared her post-mortem.

In August 2020, a black man executed five-year-old Cannon Hinnant in his own driveway. It was strictly local news. There is no movement to fight the endless wave of black-on-white violence in this country.

The great irony of this moment is that if Joe Biden were working for Starbucks, what he used to say about race would get him fired. But now he’s useful because he is dependent on blacks.

In President Biden’s own words, he is a “transition,” presumably to the new majority non-white America of Kamala Harris. She is a mediocrity who would be unknown were it not for race. After he’s gone, Joe Biden will be replaced by people who don’t care about the historic American nation and promote endless grievances against whites.

It will only get worse. “Equity” can’t be achieved. Progressives will never say “mission accomplished.” Too many people have careers whipping up grievances against whites. We are also importing a permanent Third World underclass that will make assimilation and reducing income inequality impossible. As racial equality continually fails to materialize, the hysteria will mount. Only “racism” can explain why a Honduran immigrant who speaks no English is poor.

The Regime is building a society on resentment. To succeed, it must fail. If we ever did “move beyond race” or achieve equality, our rulers would lose the ideological justification for power. “Antiracism” must become more extreme, outlandish, and violent. Just look at South Africa to see what happens when whites become a minority.

However, Trump supporters, let me speak for a moment to just my people: white people. There is nothing unusual about a ruling class using ideology to justify power. Theirs is “equity.” We owe nothing to the Regime. It needs us; we don’t need it. We’d be better off without it.

We European-Americans are a stateless people. We have citizenship, but no country. No progress is possible until we face this.

We have no political representation. Any politician who said whites have legitimate racial interests would be crushed. Look at what happened to Steve King, whose decades of conservative service did nothing to save him after a New York Times reporter misquoted him to make him sound “racist.” He even voted to denounce himself and it did no good.

There is not a single white man in the Western world — no matter how powerful, well-connected, or wealthy — who would not lose his position if he openly defended white interests.

That was why Donald Trump mattered. The Regime will stop at almost nothing to stop a white man who doesn’t grovel. Mr. Trump was rich, famous, and beloved so long as he accepted the system’s rules. He palled around Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. He was a hero to rappers and a staple of television and movies. But then he unleashed forces that couldn’t be controlled, and that brought repression, censorship, and hysteria. The Regime can’t ever let that happen again. The Regime may not even let Trump’s cameo in Home Alone 2 survive his removal from power.

“Regime” is the right word. We are ruled by an elite that is hostile and increasingly foreign. Whites can collaborate with this Regime. We all do, when we pay our taxes, obey the laws. However, collaboration does not bring protection. The goal posts are constantly shifting. If you are a non-white American who doesn’t want your country mutilated, you’re still a “white nationalist.” Just ask the Proud Boys.

We must mock, not just reject, charges of “sedition” or “treason.” Treason against what? In public schools and in the most prestigious media outlets, the Regime tells us America was founded on genocide and slavery. Now, it claims Old Glory for itself and calls us traitors? Let us hear no pieties about “loving” the country that you want to transform. A husband who tells his wife she needs to “fundamentally change” doesn’t love her. A patriot doesn’t speak of his country as a problem to be solved.

The question now is whether we still have anything to defend. This Regime does not represent me, nor even 74 million Trump supporters. I’m not advocating rebellion or any illegal act. When I see President Joe Biden, I don’t feel “hate,” anger, or even resentment. I feel nothing. I will obey the Regime’s laws and pay its taxes. I wish I didn’t have to, but that’s reality – like a flat tire or a pulled muscle. I wish those whom the Regime prefers would fight its wars and pay its bills. Somehow, I don’t think it would last long.

When I see President Trump, I feel pity, sadness, and grief. I pity him because he has no future and will be go down in history as America’s most hated man. I feel sadness for those who begged him to save them and were let down. President Trump offered just a hint of how great this country could be. A glimpse of that dream inspired millions of Americans. That’s something bigger than he is, and it’s a tragedy he can’t see it.

Most of all, I feel grief for a country I barely knew and for the future we could have had. Those who should have led our people are destroying us for fear of a word. When I look at what calls itself America, I see the corpse of a loved one. It’s already rotting. I feel disgust at the maggots eating it. It’s pointless to rage against them, but it’s futile to try to stop them by telling the corpse to stand up for itself.

The American “Experiment” is failing, but our people are alive. We may have been mistaken, misguided, or betrayed, but we are still here. The Regime shows its people the iron fist because it is afraid. It has nothing left but force. I feel more optimistic than I did in 2016. All illusions are gone, so everything is now possible. A great adventure awaits, from which we will emerge stronger.

Trump supporters, you are arriving at the place I reached long ago. Now, we see the Regime revealed for what it is. We couldn’t expect to be saved by someone coming down the Trump Tower escalator. We paid for our naïveté, but once you see, you can never shut your eyes again.

What do we do now? What the finest of our people have done before. Nietzsche wrote:

A state is called the coldest of all cold monsters. Coldly lieth it also; and this lie creepeth from its mouth: “I, the state, am the people.” It is a lie! Creators were they who created peoples, and hung a faith and a love over them: thus they served life.

Outside the eyes of the Regime media, creators are emerging. We have it in our power to begin our national epic anew, to show through word and deed that history has not ended. The most exciting chapter has begun.

Some have said that Americans like us are “Amerikaners,” drawing a parallel with the South African Voortrekkers who tamed the wilderness to create a state of their own. “Amerikaners” will need to gather geographically, work together financially, and bind themselves to each other through loyalty and faith. This will take dedication, planning, and the all-important first step: recognition that we are a nation within a decaying empire. Our destiny is separate from its fate. We do not have a state, but we are a people, something more important than any one of us. Our task is nation-building.

To start thinking about alternatives to the Potomac Regime does not mean forgetting our roots. We Americans look back to men such as George Washington and wonder how such titans once walked where Kamala Harris and Joe Biden now stand. However, our roots go back much farther.

As I search for a way forward, I look to the ancients. The inauguration was a funeral, but even a funeral can affirm life. I think of the funeral games that the Greeks held after the deaths of great heroes. They were celebrations of martial valor and vitality.

The challenge is desperate, but the prize is beyond calculable value. Our opponents have unwittingly defined “whiteness” as almost anything that is great, beautiful, or accomplished. I almost feel we should thank them. Inauguration Day 2021 wasn’t the end. It was a beginning. History has begun again, and I can’t wait for what is to come.

White Identity Politics:
Inevitable, Necessary, Moral, Part 1

The following text is based on the transcript of a talk delivered at the Northwest Forum in Seattle on June 9, 2018. I want to thank the organizers, the audience, and James B. for the transcription.     

I want to argue for three theses about white identity politics. The first is that it’s inevitable; the second is that it’s necessary; and the third is that it’s moral.

White identity politics is what happens when white people start thinking of ourselves as a group, distinct from other groups, with different interests from other groups, and we are willing to defend our interests whenever they conflict with the interests of other groups. White identity politics means that whites are going to collectivize, we’re going to organize, and we’re going to defend our interests—and advance our interests—within the political realm.

The biggest taboo in American politics today is against white identity politics. The line in the sand between White Nationalists and the Alt Lite is really just the issue of the legitimacy of identity politics for white people. Interestingly enough, that is the line in the sand between White Nationalists and the entire rest of the political spectrum. The cuckservatives want to draw the line there, and everybody to their Left draws the line there as well.

If you organize as a white person for white people, if you speak as a white person for the interests of white people, and especially if you’re willing to act in the political realm for the interests of white people, that is crossing the line into thoughtcrime. It’s us versus the whole political system.

We need to make a few distinctions when we talk about identity politics, just to get started.

The first distinction is between explicit and implicit white identity politics. Explicit white identity politics is openly standing up for white interests. Implicit white identity politics is not openly standing up for white interests but “just so happening” to support policies that resonate more with white people than with anybody else.

Basically every center-Right mainstream party in the white world is practicing implicit white identity politics. And a lot of Left-wing politics is also implicit white identity politics. The Bernie Sanders movement promoting Scandinavian-style socialism in America and the Green Parties throughout the white world are forms of implicit white identity politics; only white people really care about this stuff; it’s just a different kind of white identity politics.

Implicit white identity politics is ultimately based upon biology. As living things, we are wired to feel more comfortable around people who are genetically similar to us. J. Philippe Rushton was an evolutionary psychologist who developed what is called Genetic Similarity Theory and applied it to the argument for nationalism. Rushton argued that science proves that harmonious relations between individuals are strongly correlated with genetic similarity. Increasing genetic similarity leads to increasing harmony. Increasing genetic diversity leads to increasing conflict. Since harmony strengthens and conflict weakens a society, genetic similarity is a source of strength and genetic diversity is a source of weakness.

We know this from looking at the most striking cases of genetic similarity, namely people who are genetically identical, namely identical twins. Identical twins have the most harmonious relationships among human beings because they’re genetically the same. This means they can basically read one another’s minds and complete one another’s sentences. I met a pair of identical twins years ago, and one of them said—and I’m sure the other one was thinking it at the same time—“We’re not so much two people as we’re one egg divided.” I thought that was a beautiful expression. “One egg divided” would be a great title for a book on identical twins.

White people as a race should start thinking of ourselves that way. We’re not so much individuals; we’re one people divided. We’re one people divided up into individuals. But we’re part of one great genetic continuum, going all the way back to the Ice Age and before. And if you have that sense of extended family, of unity, of community—it’s only natural that you’re going to start gravitating towards people who are like you.

Implicit white identity politics, as practiced by cuckservative parties, is basically a swindle. They will “dog whistle” to us, meaning that they will signal in an oblique way that they understand our racial anxieties. They will propose universalistic legislation that “just so happens to coincide” with our interests as white people. But they’ll never explicitly court us. Indeed, if you accuse them of being interested in preserving the white race, they will angrily denounce you. They will do anything to avoid the stigma of standing up for their own people.

I used to think that conservatives are unprincipled, but that’s really not true. Unfortunately, they’re very principled. The trouble is that the principles they hold most sacred are provided by our enemies, and if they act on those principles, they can only lose, and we can only be destroyed.

So white identity politics is quite a broad genre if it can include Republicans dog-whistling to white voters and White Nationalists like me.

Another distinction we need to make within white identity politics is between white separatists, white supremacists, and a third category that I am just going to call uppity white folks.

I am a white separatist, meaning that I want to live in a racially homogeneous society rather than a multiracial society. I want racially homogeneous homelands for all peoples, to the extent that is possible.

White supremacists want whites to rule over other races, which logically presupposes the existence of a multiracial society in which whites are at the top of the hierarchy. If we must have multiracial societies, I would want whites and white standards to be supreme. But I recognize that such a society is oppressive to other racial groups, which is why I would prefer separate homelands for all peoples.

White separatists like me are often labeled “white supremacists” by lazy and dishonest journalists who wish to tar us with associations to the Ku Klux Klan. We should insist that they respect our chosen nouns as piously as they respect the chosen pronouns of transsexuals.

Uppity white folks are white people who are content—for now—to live in a multiracial, multicultural society but who are going to take their own side in ethnic conflicts. Uppity white folks are the largest group practicing white identity politics. They tend toward the implicit rather than explicit end of the spectrum. They tend to be politically moderate. They aren’t willing to entertain radical new policies just yet.

But they are starting to notice that diversity simply means white dispossession. They are tired of anti-white propaganda in the media and education. They are tired of anti-white double standards. They recognize that whites have interests that need to be defended. They are frustrated with cuckservatives who refuse to talk about white identity and white interests. And they are increasingly open to explicit talk of white identity and interests, as long as it is reasonable, moderate, fair to all parties, and not freighted with foreign and antiquarian symbols and ideologies.

Uppity white folks are where white identity politics is growing. They are the people we can agitate and radicalize. The Left thinks that the nearly sixty million white people who voted for Donald Trump are uppity white folks. That’s an exaggeration, of course. But the Trump electorate is definitely our target audience.

Why White Identity Politics is Inevitable

The first question is: Why do I think white identity politics is inevitable? It’s inevitable because of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism means many different races and cultures living within the same system, occupying the same public spaces, accessing the same services, trying to determine the direction of policy. It’s a battle between groups for control of the state apparatus. There’s no such thing as a common good in a multicultural society, because there is no single people. There’s just the squabble of different organized ethnic groups for power. And it’s inevitable that, once white people see their interests being threatened, we are going to start organizing to preserve and advance our interests.

To draw this conclusion, we don’t need to know anything about morality or Genetic Similarity Theory or the dynamics of multicultural societies. All we need to know is that if you attack someone, they will eventually react. If you push white people around long enough, we are going to push back.

“Diversity” is just a euphemism for fewer white people. Why would any sane white person celebrate that? As soon as white people recognize that fact, a reaction is inevitable. We are that reaction. And the trajectory of that reaction is to move from implicit white identity politics to explicit white identity politics.

Why White Identity Politics is Necessary

The next point I want to make is that white identity politics is necessary. More precisely, explicit white identity politics is necessary. Why do we have to go explicit? A lot of people don’t want to explicitly advocate for white interests. They want to be civic nationalists, Trumpian populists, or Western chauvinists.

If you get such people in a quiet room and pour some liquor into them, they’ll assure us that they’re totally “based” and really on the side of explicit white identitarians. But then they will explain why they think openly standing up for white people is a dumb strategy. Our enemies will call us racists. Our cucky friends with disavow us. We might actually lose the support of white people.

But if we soft-peddle appeals to white interests and instead uphold the universal principles of “Americanism,” we’ll keep white supporters—because they can always be taken for granted—and maybe we can split off 10% of the black vote! We can get Kanye West to save our race! And the beauty of it is, we don’t even need to talk about what we’re doing. We can overthrow the system while not endangering our place in it. Isn’t that clever?

In the short run, it seems like a clever gambit. The trouble is that in the long run, it dooms us. Here is why if we don’t go explicit, we’re doomed. I’ve used this analogy many times before, but it’s good, so I will use it again.

Imagine American politics as a poker game. In this game, every group in our society—every racial group, every ethnic group—has a seat at the table and a stack of chips. Whites are the largest group in the society, so we’ve got the biggest stack of chips.
But the way the game is played is that every other group has a wild card, namely the “race card,” the “identity card,” but white people don’t. We cannot play the identity card. We have to say, “This policy is for the good of all humanity, and it just so happens to be good for us.” And, of course, if people point out, “Well it really just seems to be better for you than for other people,” you’re forced into a choice. You can either say, “Yeah, so what? We’re going take our own side. We want to win this round.” But that is to play the identity card. And if you are not willing to do that, you have to back off. You have to cuck. You have to give in.

If you play by those rules long enough—when they can play the “race card” and you can’t—you’re going to lose. You would never consent to playing a game of poker where every other person at the table gets to use a wild card and you don’t. By those rules, no matter how many advantages you have at the start of the game, every hand you play is going to put you closer and closer to losing it all. The only way not to lose that game is not to play it.

The way to stop playing that game is to give up the ridiculous taboo against white identity politics. White people simply need to say, “We represent the interests of white people. We built the country. We made it great. It’s our only homeland, and we’re not going to allow it to be taken away from us. We’re not going to be diddled out of a homeland by playing by these rigged rules.”

Of course the cucks will say that we should never give in to identity politics. We should just try to persuade all the other groups in society to stop engaging in identity politics. But why would any sane group of people voluntarily stop using a winning strategy? Why would any group exchange a winning strategy for a losing one? Because the losers ask nicely? We see how well that works out for Republicans.

So in terms of long-term survival, we have to go explicit. But Republicans only think in terms of the short run. Because white identity politics is a taboo they will never break, they won’t deal forthrightly with the anti-white demographic trends baked into the system today, which if unchecked will destroy their party. Non-whites vote more than 70% for the Democrats, and the high immigration and fertility of non-whites means they will be the majority is less than a generation, unless we reverse those demographic trends.

The short-term consequences of breaking the taboo on white identity politics are being called names by journalists. The long-term consequences are a Democratic one-party state and the destruction of everything that conservatives want to conserve. Intelligent and responsible people think about the long run. Foolish, irresponsible people think only about the short run. Strong people are willing to put up with short-term pains for long term gains. Weak people are not. Republicans are weak, foolish, and irresponsible people. They are letting the Left drag this country into the abyss and cement their power with a one-party state.

Republicans evade thinking about the demographic Armageddon facing their party by fervently believing in the myth of the “based” black or mestizo in a Trump hat. Maybe Diamond and Silk will save them. Maybe Kanye will miracle them into the White House or the Senate one more time. But, as I said to a Tea Party woman more than a decade ago, “There aren’t enough fiscally conservative black people in the world to save you.” I know exactly how many black people support the Tea Party, because they’re always on the platform at any event. That’s not enough to save them. As the old joke goes, “What do you call the single black man at a Republican event? The keynote speaker.” This foolishness is destroying America.

That’s why explicit white identity politics is not just inevitable, it is necessary. We have to go explicit; we have to buck the taboos; we have to deal with the long-term problem of white demographic decline. Or we will see all that we love destroyed by a Democratic one-party state ruling over an America that increasingly resembles Mexico or Brazil.

I’ve never been a particularly conspiratorial-minded guy.

In my 35 years on this planet, I have lived in so many places, and encountered so many different types of people, and been exposed to (or a part of) so many various bureaucracies, that I am almost always inclined to attribute that which could be considered conspiracy to — instead — human folly or foolishness.

Yet in 2020 big, overreaching “lies” have reached a level of ubiquity and size that makes it nigh impossible to ignore them.

Perhaps it is because of the omnipresence of the internet, the fact that nearly every minute of life and every word spoken is now infinitely reproducible and archivable and accessible at the drop of a hat, that these lies are so much more obvious than they might be. Perhaps if we had camera phones and social media 50 years ago, or 500 years ago, it would have led to the same incongruity between narrative and fact.

Either way, the lies we have seen in 2020 are monumental, and I am struck, in this regard, by the thought of what our descendants may think, far in the future, when reading about this time.

Therefore I believe there is utility in calling out the lies for what they are so that those who inherit this world from us — our “posterity” (hopefully) — might recognize that at least some of us were aware of what was going on, or at least questioned the lies and mistruths and misunderstood meanings of this historically-significant year.

To that end, below is an outline of what appear to be the “The Top 5 Lies Of 2020.”

Lie #5: The Epstein Dog That Didn’t Bark

Jeffrey Epstein died in August of 2019, but discussion of his death (and his actions during his life) has continued unabated through to the present, and therefore should be included on any list of “2020 Lies.”

The most obvious lie is that Epstein killed himself, and indeed, statistics show that a large percentage of Americans (45% in this poll ^[2]) view this “official explanation” as just that: a lie.

Even many of our elites find themselves unable to pronounce upon this lie as if it were the truth. Indeed, it is only in the most soulless depths of the modern progressive cathedral that you will find people saying it is a “conspiracy theory” that Epstein killed himself.

What is vastly more common — indeed omnipresent — is the lie of omission regarding Epstein. The “dog that didn’t bark,” as it were. This is the question of who Epstein was working on behalf of, and why he was allowed to do what he was doing.

We readers of Counter-Currents are among a tiny minority that both understands and acknowledges the obvious: that Epstein was working on behalf or in concert with Israeli intelligence services (or even more powerful Jewish intelligence groups operating in a private capacity without official ties to the Israeli government, a la Black Cube ^[3] but more powerful).

Any reasonably intelligent member of the ruling elite knows this as well, yet this fact is completely ignored by every single television anchor, journalist, congressman, and law enforcement official who speaks about the Epstein case. Left-wing “heretic” Caitlynn Johnstone hit the nail halfway on the head, to her credit, when she tweeted the following (since deleted):

I just don’t get how people are more interested in Epstein, Maxwell, Clinton, Dershowitz, Prince Andrew, etc than in the fact that ***POWERFUL INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES HAVE BEEN USING KIDS AS SEX SLAVES TO MANIPULATE OUR SOCIETY VIA BLACKMAIL*** How is that not the main story here?

The rest of her Twitter thread links to several articles from alternative news sites that discuss the obvious Epstein/Mossad ties that have been completely ignored by our government and media. Indeed, if it were not for CNN and MSNBC’s optimistic hopes of tying Trump to Epstein, it is likely the entire story would have been suppressed.

Someday the details of Epstein’s death will likely come to light (it seems from my limited research on the question that he may have been allowed to be arrested as part of an internecine battle within the Israeli/Jewish intelligence apparatus, possibly on the behalf of those seeking Netanyahu’s continued success rather than a resurgence of Epstein-linked Ehud Barak, and that an agent of one of these extra-national Jewish intelligence operations was who killed him).

But the more important question is this — why were Jewish intelligence operatives (Epstein and Maxwell) allowed to hold dozens of adolescent (white) girls in sexual servitude (some as young as 11 ^[4], reportedly), and then use them to collect sexual blackmail on US politicians?

The answer to that question is as obvious as the silence around it is deafening.

Lie #4: Right-Wing Violence During Riots

The ongoing BLM/Antifa riots presented a fascinating opportunity to see our media establishment’s lies propagated in real time.

As mentioned above, the omnipresence of cell phone cameras led to these riots being almost perfectly cataloged on video.

In fact, in nearly every high-profile shooting or stabbing that occurred, close-up video and audio were posted on Twitter immediately.

Yet the media continued with a narrative of “peaceful protests” and “Right-wing provocateurs” through the summer, until the “peaceful protests” magically stopped all at once (at the exact moment polls showed they had become a huge liability ^[5] for Democrats).

This led to humorous scenes, such as the instant-meme image of the CNN reporter declaring the riots “mostly peaceful” as the buildings right behind him burned out of control. It also led to utterly tragic outcomes as well, however, such as the horrifically unjust persecution of Kyle Rittenhouse, or the spectacle of Vice interviewing the Portland Antifa member ^[6]who declared that he killed Patriot Prayer member Aaron Danielson to “protect his friend of color” who Danielson was “about to attack,” while CCTV footage simultaneously made public showed him ambushing Danielson after hiding behind a concrete wall.

Through all of this though, we heard media pundits, progressive activists, and even elected officials blaming the violence being perpetrated on “white supremacists” and “Right-wing agitators.”

Lie #3: The 2020 Election Was Fair And Honest

Capping off the year was the election chaos, which will surely go down in the history books as well.

What was perhaps the most interesting aspect of the entire situation has been the 180-degree turn we saw within the elite establishment. The same people who had spent four years decrying how “Russia hacked our election” suddenly considered the US election system to be entirely perfect and without fault.

That the election involved a great deal of fraud is hardly debatable at this point, and the few remaining Left-wing voices with any measure of integrity admitted this to one degree or another (Matt Taiibi, Jimmy Dore ^[7], etc).

The extent of the fraud is still unknown, of course. Certainly, the cities with rich histories of electoral fraud such as Chicago, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia had more than the usual, given the extent to which state and local governments radically toned down voter security measures and mail-in balloting requirements in response to Covid-19. This likely also allowed exacerbated tendencies toward fraud in less notorious but demographically similar places such as Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Maricopa County.

Project Veritas published numerous videos ^[8] showing such fraud ^[9] taking place. Yet still, the swamp creatures of Washington (including countless Republicans) rejected any talk of “fraud” as gauche and ignorant and un-American, and our dictatorial tech companies further obliged by censoring the subject as wholly as they could manage.

This does not even take into account the question of Dominion voting machines, the billions of dollars donated by the Zuckerbergs and Soroses of the world to liberal “Get out of the vote” operations with “questionable ethics” (to put it quite mildly), and dozens of other factors suggesting the 2020 election was anything but fair and honest.

Certainly, there was a decent amount of cringy Boomer-tier Facebook misinformation as well (“Trump lost on purpose to show how corrupt the system is and now he’s about to arrest all the DEMONRATS!”), but really, when the basic realities in front of our eyes are distorted and censored to the degree that is now the case, can you blame our low-information brethren for believing such things?

For better or for worse, the lies around the election will likely serve to accelerate the Third-Worldization (and perhaps Balkanization) of the U.S., given the fact that large swaths of the electorate now view our democratic process as fully corrupted, further lessening the already tenuous social trust that must exist for societies to function.

The Hunter Biden laptop saga is another subject that could deservedly fill an entire book.Lie #2: Nearly Everything We Heard About The Hunter Biden Laptop

Like the other areas discussed in this article, however, it was quickly buried in a mountainous web of lies, nearly as massive as the horrendously degenerate (and tragic) material that sprang forth from the laptop itself.

To sum it up, the laptop in question contained:

• Thousands of business-related text and email messages involving Hunter Biden, many suggestive of fraud and corruption.
• Thousands of text and email messages between Hunter Biden and his family members.
• Voice messages and video calls between Hunter Biden and other individuals, including his family members.
• Untold messages between Hunter Biden and prostitutes/prostitution services/webcam models.
• Untold pictures of Hunter Biden engaging in sexual acts with women, mostly prostitutes it seems, as well as Haleigh Biden, it appears, who he had a relationship with after her husband — his brother Beau Biden — died of brain cancer.
• Untold dick pics that he — Hunter Biden — took of himself.
• Untold images of Biden smoking crack and meth.

These documents were initially released via gnews.org, an anti-CCP Chinese website some claimed was associated with Steve Bannon, and were reported on primarily by the Gateway Pundit, who had been given access to the laptop’s hard drive, along with several other conservative publications such as the National File.

To say the slow rollout of the documents was like watching a car wreck in slow motion would be an understatement, and the media blackout that surrounded it all only made the entire situation that much more surreal.

The main lie propagated around the laptop was that it was fake, yet this was clearly not true, and even the Biden campaign did not traffick in this specific claim.

A further lie (by those who admitted the laptop was real) was that the information on it did not show fraud. This is subjective, of course, but the information on the laptop highlighted by The Gateway Pundit and others certainly seems to show fraud and illegality, and since the election, it has been confirmed that Hunter Biden is under criminal investigation for — at the very least — tax fraud ^[12].

The ambiguity surrounding the laptops led to inaccuracies on both sides. This included the rumor that the laptop showed Hunter Biden doing cocaine and having sex with Malia Obama. This was the result of pictures that circulated on Twitter of Biden and a black girl in coitus, as well as a credit card with Malia Obama’s name on it being used to cut coke. As a result, many on Twitter incorrectly assumed that these were photos of Biden and Obama, but this was not the case. The credit card photo was apparently from a year previous when the card was lost, stolen, or photoshopped, and the pictures in question were posted online by someone as an act of trolling ^[13]. The black girls in the photographs with Biden were reportedly random black prostitutes.

Other rumors suggested that the laptop included photos of Hunter Biden engaging in sexual relations with his underage niece (Beau and Haleigh Biden’s daughter Natalie). While many of the images on the laptop reportedly show women engaged in sexual acts with Biden whose identity is not readily discernible, I am aware of no concrete evidence for the above rumor. However. . . the above does relate to the one clear-cut revelation the laptop did provide, which — had it not been obscured by all the confusion and lies of the media — should have been the most damning to the Biden campaign.

This is the fact that the laptop contained what appears to be a nude selfie of Hunter Biden, taken by photographing a mirror while his nether regions were fully exposed, with his underage niece no more than 3 feet away from him in the background (something that would seemingly result in jail time and the sex offender registry for any other person).

The laptop also contains chat logs ^[14] from conversations both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden were a part of that seem to make clear that Joe knew that Hunter was engaging in highly inappropriate and illegal acts like the above vis a vis his niece (Joe Biden’s granddaughter).

This was never reported on by the mainstream news, however, and the only news outlet that discussed it at all — the New York Post –– was famously censored ^[15] by Twitter and Facebook for daring to report on the laptop’s contents.

As a result, information that likely would have ended any other politician’s career never fully came to light, and thus had little impact on the election.

Lie #1: The ‘Deadly’ Coronavirus

Of all the lies and popular delusions of 2020, I believe the coronavirus will be written about the most throughout history.

The entire year-long saga surrounding it has been an extremely rare opportunity to see “the madness of crowds” from a firsthand perspective. It also allowed us to witness how new information is absorbed by cults and religions and then synthesized and placed into the existing narrative or worldview of the cult in question (the cult, in this case, being progressivism).

One of the more ironic things is that initially, in the early days of the virus, it was conservatives who were most hypervigilant about it, while those on the Left were dismissive.

This made sense, though. Research indicates ^[16] that usually those who self-identify as Right-wing have a lower disgust threshold and are more compulsive about cleanliness, while the Left — who consider themselves more “open-minded” and “tolerant” — have higher disgust thresholds and fewer qualms about being around germs and sickness.

This was exactly what we saw at first.

The “k-selected” Right wished to block travel from places like China, close borders, and take pains to avoid contagion. Conservatives tended to view the virus as a foreign threat and attempted to solve it just like other foreign threats such as mass immigration and Islamic terrorism.

The Left, on the other hand, called such proposals “xenophobic ^[17],” opposed border closures, and even encouraged people to spend New Year’s Eve in America’s various Chinatowns to demonstrate their multicultural open-mindedness.

Things changed as soon as President Trump expressed skepticism of the virus’s severity.

The establishment — always eager to attack Trump and always eager to demonstrate diametric opposition to his policies — suddenly shifted their view 180 degrees, re-orienting their perspective on the virus to accommodate such virtue-signaling Trump hatred. Suddenly belief in the virus’s severity was a matter of “science,” and demonstrated one’s “reason” and one’s “education,” in opposition to those “dumb,” “reactionary,” “anti-science” conservatives in flyover country.

Suddenly the virus required incredible lockdowns unprecedented in history. . . suddenly governmental health providers such as the NHS were treated as saints. . . suddenly lifelong bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci were afforded Churchill and Roosevelt-like powers to remake society.

This was very convenient for huge swaths of the Left. The nanny-state bureaucrats, from Fauci to your local small-souled cat ladies and bugmen in the health departments, had waited their whole lives to finally have unlimited power. Now they were using it like bitter middle school hall monitors suddenly given dictatorial control over every aspect of daily existence.

It was equally convenient to the loads of tech employees in San Francisco and Seattle who could easily work from home and whose lives were scarcely impacted at all.

It also proved extremely good for the ultra-liberal tech moguls like Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Jack Dorsey, who saw their fortunes rise to unprecedented heights, while millions of small businesses were utterly destroyed due to government-mandated “lockdowns.”

All of this might almost have been understandable if the virus really was deadly, but by early summer if not earlier it was becoming overwhelmingly clear that the virus was not especially deadly, perhaps no worse than the average flu.

Besides, children and young adults were extremely un-susceptible to it, and it was only the very old and the obese for whom death rates were anywhere close to significant.

Yet this information could be heard nowhere in the mainstream media, for whom the virus was proving to be a massive boon, as it 1) provided a steady stream of fear-based clicks, resulting in greater ad revenue, and 2) reinforced the progressive worldview they sought to push.

To their credit, some Leftists (or at least former Leftists) were among those who bravely attempted to sound an alarm over the growing hysteria.

Alex Berenson ^[18] has likely become the most famous of these. From his Twitter account, the former NYT staffer relentlessly exposed the false Covid-19 data, the journalistic lies surrounding the virus, and brazenly untruthful “Covid death stories” that were trotted out one after another, many having little or nothing to do with Covid.

Like with lies #1-4 above, the ongoing mistruths broadcast by the media only served to enflame alternate explanations even more.

Random people on Twitter and Reddit claimed the virus was a hoax, that it was caused by 5G, and many other theories. Some were logical and well-reasoned, some were the opposite, and the actual reality of the situation is still somewhat ambiguous to my mind (it seems to me that it’s a real virus that is not any worse than the common flu, and that the insane response to it was not necessarily pre-planned but was rather the somewhat inevitable outcome of the institutional and cultural sickness infecting our institutions).

Overall, at this point, the only clear thing is that the vast majority of people in our government and media have been less than forthright in regards to the virus and that the response to it in most Western countries has been something akin to Munchausen-by-proxy syndrome.

It remains to be seen just how much longer this insanity can go on, and whether it will slowly peter out, or go out with a bang, like a rubber band that is pulled too far and snaps.

Conclusion

As the old cliched quote goes: “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

This saying has become hopelessly overused, but I do think it’s true that the events of 2020 have caused more normal people to publicly reject the insanity of “clown world” than ever before.

As a result, I don’t think it’s overly optimistic to suggest that the brazenness of the lies we’ve seen from our elites this year is evidence of their power crumbling away.

Indeed, as the famous philosopher, Elvis Presley once said: “Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin’ away.”
