Left Gatekeepers, like the journalists in George Orwell’s 1984, function to promote the official propaganda of the state. They amplify what is not credible while excluding other voices from challenging the government’s lies of the day.
Amy Goodman used to be a hero of mine (http://www.baltimorechronicle.com/media_jun02.html). She was particularly heroic in the 1991 massacre by Indonesian military forces in a Santa Cruz, East Timor graveyard. Her deeds there (along with journalist Alan Nairn’s) are the kinds of events that people would get medals for by the President in a sane world.However, since 9/11/01 Amy Goodman (and her internet/radio program Democracy Now!) has achieved enormous popularity while continuing to fail to challenge the Bush regime where doing so is most needed. In particular, whenever the topic of terrorism on US soil is brought up on her program she can be counted upon to repeat government propaganda.By broadcasting the government’s official story of 9-11 Democracy Now! continues to reiterate faulty science. For example, a key component of the Bush regime’s propaganda includes the implication that the number 650 is equal to the number 2000.If more Democracy-activists were aware that the Bush regime was making this assertion it could galvanize the resistance to it. Still, Amy Goodman and DN! continue to tolerate the lie that the two numbers are equal. To the disgust of a growing number of people DN! refuses to include a guest on her show which disputes this (and similar) scientific point(s) advanced by the government.

Before we delve into the specifics of Amy Goodman’s service to the Bush regime, it should be mentioned that her contract with Pacifica is appalling. I have it from names that would like to remain quiet that the financial relationship between Democracy Now! and Pacifica is costing Pacifica more than million dollars in potential revenue a year. If the arrangement that Amy and Democracy Now! has with Pacifica continues, it could bankrupt Pacifica. Progressives should show support for Pacifica by calling for Amy to restructure her contract.The Importance of 9-11
Let’s move to the events of September 11, 2001 which have had an enormous impact on the human race. So far the Bush regime has used 911 to launch two wars of aggression against a pair of largely defenseless countries which play a vital role in the distribution of the world’s oil.Domestically, the Bush regime has used the events of 9/11/01 to install a concentration camp in Cuba. Under the guise of protecting Americans from terrorists, it employed the USA PATRIOT Act to shred the Bill of Rights. It has used 9-11 to disappear thousands of people (i.e., either deporting them or is detaining them indefinitely without charge.)
The Bush regime is also using 9-11 in an attempt to introduce new legal standards which erase centuries of judicial precedents. September 11 is also being featured in the campaign commercials for the Bush regime. Finally, the Republican Convention will be held in New York close to the three-year anniversary of 9/11 to maximize the propaganda benefit of the tragedy. Clearly, 9-11 remains a pivotal instrument for the Bush regime to achieve its goals.While the Bush regime freely employs 9-11 for all of its attacks on human rights much of the “left” media continues to broadcast the fictional story of what really happened that day. Last September (9/23/03), Democracy Now! made one of its very rare forays into discussing the events of 9-11. Amy Goodman had on two guests, Peter Lance and Richard Miniter. Amy billed the meeting as a “debate”. Both men are authors and were prominently hawking their recent books. Crucially, neither man contradicted the other much.During the telecast, Lance and Miniter both agreed with the official story of 9/11/01. To recap: Flights 11 and 175 crash into the World Trade Center. Burning fuel from these planes melts the steel in the North and South Towers. This causes both towers to collapse in relatively tidy footprints.
Later that same day, World Trade Center 7 collapses in its footprint, possibly from fire. (No one with the government has explained WTC 7’s collapse with certainty; i.e., FEMA’s report isn’t conclusive. Meanwhile, the subject of why WTC 7 collapsed has never been discussed on Democracy Now!)With Amy’s approval, Lance and Miniter eagerly promote the central idea that Al Qaeda was responsible for the complete destruction of buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the World Trade Center on 9/11/01.
They accept (without explanation) that Osama bin Laden, the world’s most famous dialysis patient, was the mastermind of the day’s tragic events. The subject of how 650 and 2,000 are completely different numbers never arises in the broadcast.Democracy Now!’s wretched 9/23/03 broadcast with Lance and Miniter outraged activists around the world. While watching the Lance and Miniter show unravel, I marveled at the skill with which Goodman and Democracy Now! were communicating ideas which originated with the Bush regime. No White House spokesperson could have sold the official story better than Goodman, Lance and Miniter did that day. In addition, since this “debate” was aired, the subject matter is apparently closed for all time on Democracy Now!
Left Gatekeeper 650 = 2000
Amy Goodman needs to allow an articulate guest to appear on her program capable of mentioning that it is impossible for burning jet fuel to have caused the destruction of the North and South towers of the World Trade Center.
Jet fuel is refined kerosene, which burns at about 650 degrees Fahrenheit in the open air. Meanwhile, steel cannot be forged adequately until it is heated up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit for a significant amount of time.Another problem with the idea that burning kerosene melted the steel in the Twin Towers is the fact that that all of the extant documentation from 9-11 reveals black, oxygen-starved fires coming from the North Tower before it collapsed. There is no photograph or video which indicates that the fires were nearing the temperature to melt aluminum, much less the temperature to melt steel.The more one inspects the documentation the more obvious the conclusion becomes that the planes which supposedly struck the World Trade Center on 9/11/01 could not have melted the steel in the Twin Towers under the circumstances we all seemingly witnessed.Even if we could believe that the laws of physics were altered on 9/11/01, and burning jet fuel melted steel that day, the jet fuel from the alleged planes would have caused the towers to twist and bend and fall over, not completely implode in their footprints.The tendency for tall building structures when they collapse is to bend over and crash into surrounding areas. That’s why demolition experts are almost always hired to topple tall buildings in major cities.There is a growing number of people around the world who believe that the Twin Towers fell from a pair of controlled demolitions. Despite the best efforts of the Left Gatekeepers to suppress the movement, conferences are being held to discuss 9-11; books and papers are being published, videos are being produced, new websites appear daily and emails are circulating like wildfire.(An author I highly recommend is Eric Hufschmid. His book, “Painful Questions” argues convincingly that the Twin Towers fell from controlled demolitions. Eban was speaking and reading off the cuff from a paper that showed how much funding comes from listerners and how much comes from other sponsors. Eban was going through the various shows that run on KPFK and was surprised to see that one of the corporate funders of Democracy Now was the Rockefell Foundation. She seemed a little embarrased and flustered after realizing what she had just read, since she concentrates on NWO topics on her show. She talked about doing "ground zero reporting" and said "our job as journalists is to go to where the silence is." I wanted to confront Amy over her reprehensible silence about the 9/11 truth debates in general, and her refusal to cover the demolition of Building 7 in particular. On January 21, 2006, key members of the 9-11 Mafia and OKC Bombing gatekeeper group will appear together at the University of Oklahoma's Memorial Union Building to present an eight-hour long dog & pony show for the public, which is being promoted as the "Oklahoma Truth Convergence." The event has been micromanaged from its inception by notorious 9-11 Gatekeeper Queen Janice Matthews (executive director of 911truth.org), along with her containment crew. So, if you plan to attend this event, brace yourself for more of the same regurgitated shinola pointing the finger of blame at "international terrorists" rather than the true perpetrators of the OKC bombing event. Also, expect to hear the familiar strains of "LIHOP" bouncing off the walls of the ballroom because gatekeepers are masterful at covering-up acts of state-sponsored terrorism by planting the idea that it was all due to 'government incompetence and negligence.' The fact that Cruella D'eville herself (Janice Matthews) gets top billing as one of the featured speakers at this event speaks volumes. Other confirmed speakers will be OKC gatekeeper and former Oklahoma state representative Charles Key, who managed to screw up the previous event in OKC (April 2005) by embracing CIA spin-meister Bob Barr and his pro-government line of BS; as well as Key's ever-faithful lapdog, Chris Emery.
As many of you may recall, the OKC event of April 2005 was the brainchild of WING TV, and we were honored to be a part of that historical time of truth telling. Unfortunately, the inclusion of Bob Barr and the strange behavior of Charles Key left us (as well as many others in attendance) with strong suspicions before it even ended; and subsequently, we witnessed the even more distressing infiltration and manipulation of the OKC bombing investigative committee by individuals in the 9-11 containment crowd. Despite the fact that there will be elements of truth presented at this Norman, OK conference, mainly by OKC bombing survivors V.Z. Lawton and Jane Graham, and a speech by former federal grand juror Hoppy Heidelberg, the writing is (sadly enough) already on the wall.
The reality of the situation is, when truth is mixed with disinformation, all you end up with is disinformation. That is standard fare at any gatekeeper event, and those of us who have already witnessed their government-infiltrated cover-up performances in the past are already cringing. It's unfortunate that Hoppy Heidelberg isn't the man in charge of this event, because we know where his heart is. Another speaker making a repeat appearance is former Texas attorney Harmon Taylor, who should, in all honesty, perform a citizen's arrest on Charles Key for being such an unabated stooge of the federal government.
The announcement for this upcoming forum states that there will also be a few "surprise" speakers as well. The release claims that due to the "sensitive nature of their presentations" these unknown speakers' identities will not be publicly revealed, so we're left to wonder why they're hiding. We know from firsthand experience with this crowd that if left to their own devices, nothing "sensitive" is likely to be revealed. Maybe they don't want to deal with the inevitable bad press that will undoubtedly occur if head once again. What the public and the OKC survivors don't need is more of the same old tired government apologist schtick with an "Arab terrorist twist" that he regurgitated back in April 2005.
Another glaring red flag is the mention of Pacifica Radio's Bonnie Faulkner in Chris Emery's press release. Comments12 Jan. 12, 2006 from Craig Roberts <centurion007@chouteautel.com>I don't know where the WING TV duo gets the burr in their saddle, but I do know that Charles Key and Chris Emery and others have devoted a lot of time and money out of their own pockets to get to the bottom of the OKC bombing case. I also have a problem with Lisa and Victor failing to recognize the Nichols/Philippine/Abu Sayef/al Qaeda connections that have been confirmed and documented--and we have the documents from government sources to prove them.
They support JD Cash's disinfo regarding Elohim City and all of the old diversion stuff, and totally ignore eye witness accounts at the scene that saw the "middle easterners" and all of the evidence that we dug up "back in the day" showing the Iraqi POW/resettlement characters who were involved and present.
The key is that instead of extolling the OKBICs policy of having difference of opinion and giving others a chance to air their theories/evidence, they stamp this as "disinformation' if it doen't support THEIR pet theory--which actually goes no place but in circles of government informants watching government informants.
Of course the government had foreknowledge. But to leave out many facts and players is not a way to investigate a case. Conan Doyle (writing as Sherlock Holmes) in "A Scandal in Bohemia" said "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit
theories, instead of theories to suit facts."
I spent ten years investigating this case and to try and trumpet only the Elohim City/Strassmeir connection is to blame only one water-filled compartment on the Titanic for the sinking. And to begin name calling and ranting about "disinformation" is very unprofessional.
I have seen this same thing happen to the JFK research community. It has broken down into cells with each having their own "theorie" about whodunnit--and the other groups who believe a different villain is involved is obviously working for the CIA, FBI, or the Devil himself. Let's not let this effort on the OKC case get fragmented in the same manner. We ALL need to take all the pieces of the puzzle and put them on the wall to see what picture is formed.

I am at a loss as to who or what got into Lisa and Victor's inner court to influence and no doubt corrupt them in what they now portray. I was one a couple of their early programs and I have tried to get back on when I too noticed a trend toward theories that did no more than take the attention away from those who have seriously attacked the cause of the OKC bombing. I know that my first reaction regarding the OKC bombing was that it was indeed an "inside job" ...using people trained as myself and employing "dust initiator" and "earmuff" charges to take that building down to the extent that it was.
Please keep up the good work and know I pray for you.
