Food & Water Watch : Washington D.C.-based environmental activist group



Food & Water Watch

Food and Water Watch is a Washington D.C.-based environmental activist group dedicated to scaring the public regarding the dangers of private water ownership, traditional farming, genetically modified organisms, and natural gas exploration.

At a Glance:

Food & Water Watch is a relatively new organization, but has already established an extensive network of “local” groups dedicated to ending natural gas extraction. Examples of the group’s radical positions include:
  • Crusading to eliminate the sources of 95 percent of our current energy usage.
  • Using questionable evidence to support anti-fracking claims.
  • Recognizing a “scientific consensus” regarding man-made climate change, but refusing to acknowledge a similar “scientific consensus” on the safety of genetically modified organisms.

 

Background

Food & Water Watch fabricates facts about the impact hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) of natural gas to scare local communities and drum up support for its quest to ban the practice in the United States. Food & Water Watch also funds a number of local anti-fracking groups (using money donated from wealthy foundations) to make it appear as though natural gas exploration has generated a grassroots backlash.
The group has also trumped up fears about the dangers of GMOs—fears that lack the backing of any scientific or medical organization.

 

The Money Behind “Grassroots” Campaigns

The largest chunk of Food & Water Watch’s funding comes from trusts, otherwise known as donor-advised funds. In 2012, the organization received $2.5 million from the National Philanthropic Trust, one of the country’s largest donor-advised funds. Such funds allow individuals to make a donation to a public charity and then recommend non-profit grant recipients.
Food & Water Watch also receives a large chunk of its funding from the Park Foundation—one of the largest backers of the anti-fracking movement. The Foundation has donated nearly $700,000 to Food & Water Watch since 2008.
Left-wing activists can use donor-advised funds or foundations to donate to the staff at Food & Water Watch, who then transfer it to local “grassroots” organizations that want to ban hydraulic fracturing to extract natural gas.
While environmental activists give the impression that local residents in states with natural gas reserves have banded together to oppose development of their state’s resources, these campaigns are actually far from pure grassroots efforts. Activist groups like Food & Water Watch are bankrolling and organizing these campaigns from their headquarters in Washington, D.C.
In Colorado, the movement to ban fracking was ostensibly led by “Frack-Free Colorado,” a local group of Coloradoans. But a closer look at the financials of Colorado’s anti-natural gas campaign reveals that Food & Water Watch was one of the largest donors to the campaign.
Food & Water Watch was also behind the ballot campaign in Longmont, Colorado, working with “Our Longmont” to support a ban on fracking in the locality. The group says they are “now poised to replicate our victory in Longmont throughout Colorado.”
In New York, Food & Water Watch was heavily involved in organizing the New Yorkers Against Fracking campaign. In 2011 alone, the Park Foundation donated $165,000 to Food & Water Watch specifically to expand the organizing capacity of New Yorkers Against Fracking and aid in the group’s coordination and outreach efforts.

Fabricating Facts to Generate Natural Gas Fears

New Yorkers Against Fracking, the organization funded by Food & Water Watch, created a commercial to scare New Yorkers about the dangers natural gas caused in Pennsylvania. But in the absence of actual evidence of environmental harm, the activists relied on unproven anecdotes about the harms inflicted on individuals and communities by the natural gas industry.
One individual featured in the commercial claimed that a natural gas well killed his cows and contaminated his water—a well that didn’t actually involve using hydraulic fracturing. It also turns out that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection ran tests and determined that the death of his cows was the result of E. coli bacteria in the pond from fecal matter—natural gas had nothing to do with his cows dying.

 

Capitalizing on Tragedy to Advance Political Beliefs

Food & Water Watch used floods in Colorado, which killed at least 8 people and
caused over a billion dollars in damages, to advance its anti-fracking messaging.
The group claimed that the floods destroyed oil and gas wells, leading to the contamination of the state’s water. However, even these claims have been debunked by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state health officials.
Northern Colorado’s NPR affiliate covered Food & Water Watch’s take on the flooding: “’We’re talking about tens of thousands of toxic chemicals floating down the river, potentially ending up in communities, next to homes, next to agriculture land,’ said Sam Schabacker with Food & Water Watch. ‘We are just beginning to see the extent of the devastation…It clearly demonstrates why these ballot initiatives are going forward to stop fracking.’”
FrackFree Colorado, the “grassroots” anti-fracking organization funded by Food & Water Watch, used the tragedy to claim: “Oil and fracking chemicals are polluting our water, soil and air. In the wake of this public health disaster, we the Concerned Citizens of Colorado call for … [a]n emergency moratorium on all new well permits in Colorado [and] a plan to move immediately to bountiful, benign energy sources, such as wind and solar.”
Meanwhile, Matthew Allen, a spokesman in EPA’s Region 8 office in Denver explained: “The total reported amount of reported [oil] spills is small compared to the solid waste that has spilled from damaged sewer lines and household chemicals from destroyed homes.”

 

Opposing Private Ownership of Water

Food & Water Watch board members don’t just want water to be clean and pollutant free—they want water to be a government controlled commodity, putting an end to any private ownership of water or water bottling.
Controversial board member Maude Barlow, known as the “Water Czar,” was appointed to advise the United Nations on water policy and hydrological issues despite having no scientific training. At the top of Barlow’s agenda: calling on all nations to take water out of private hands.

 

Genetically Modified Scaremongering

Food & Water Watch is one of the foremost activist groups spreading misinformation and ignoring the scientific consensus regarding genetically modified foods (GMOs). Food & Water Watch claims that GMOs place “human and environmental health at risk” despite scientific consensus that GMOs are safe.
The U.S. National Academy of Sciences, British Royal Society, World Health Organization, American Medical Association, and American Association for the Advancement of Science all agree that no adverse health effects have been attributed to genetically modified foods. The American Association for the Advancement of Science notes:
Foods containing ingredients from genetically modified (GM) crops pose no greater risk than the same foods made from crops modified by conventional plant breeding techniques.
Nina Fedoroff, former president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, summed up the scientific opinion:
There is absolutely no evidence, repeat no evidence, that modifying plants by molecular techniques is dangerous. There is no evidence that rice expressing a compound that lots of plants make is dangerous.
Food & Water Watch even claims that “golden rice,” which was developed to combat Vitamin A deficiencies in the developing world, is unsafe. The World Health Organization reports that providing Vitamin A-deficient children with vitamin A-rich foods could prevent up to 2.7 million children under the age of five from dying prematurely. Food & Water Watch, however, says “there is no evidence that GE technology has had any positive impacts on feeding the developing world.”

1.1.1
Introduction:
Can energy be produced without combustion?  A simple question, the answer to which, has profound consequences for the future of mankind (under the term "combustion", I include both nuclear fission and fusion, as well as the more conventional forms of combustion).  Owing to the controversy surrounding this subject, rather than simply diving into the math and physics, I will take the unusual step of prefacing my paper with a discussion of the historical and societal underpinnings of this debate.  In part 2, we shall build a solid scientific foundation for the existence of anti-entropic devices, and in part 3 we shall apply these principals to inductive kickback generators such as the Tesla and Hendershot devices.

 
1.1.2
The Man:
In the 19th century, James C. Maxwell, a British scientist, formulated his now famous set of 4 equations, the first complete description of electromagnetic interactions.  For this contribution, he is celebrated in physics and history books around the world.  This same gentleman also gave science a daemon.  And since the dawn of the 20th century, scientists the world over have, almost without exception, vehemently denied the very existence of Maxwell's Daemon.  These denials were not based on any experiment intended to discover the existence (or lack) of the daemon.  Instead the scientists relied on circular logic, claiming the daemon could not exist, because it's existence would violate the very law of physics Maxwell hypothesized his daemon could circumvent.

The Daemon:
For those who have little or no knowledge of Maxwell and his daemon, we'll start with a simple explanation of how the daemon works.  Imagine a container filled with air, and divided by a thin partition into two separate compartments (A & B).  There is a small hole in the partition, and an equally small trap door covering the hole.  The hole is just large enough, that when the door is opened, single air molecules can move through the hole, thereby passing from one compartment, into the other.  Now suppose we have a tiny intelligent being (the daemon) who opens and closes the door, based on a simple set of rules:

 
1.  When an air molecule in compartment A moving faster than average approaches the daemon, it opens the door, allowing the molecule to move from compartment A, into compartment B.
2.  When an air molecule in compartment B moving slower than average approaches the daemon, it opens the door, allowing the molecule to move from compartment B, into compartment A.
3.  At all other times, the daemon keeps the door closed.

Over time, compartment B will accumulate a majority of fast moving air molecules, and compartment A will accumulate a majority of slow moving air molecules.  In thermodynamic terms, compartment B will become hotter, and compartment A will become colder.  In other words, through the actions of the daemon, a temperature difference will arise, where none existed before.  It would seem that Maxwell's daemon has just broken the second law of thermodynamics, which states "In any cyclic process, the entropy (disorder) must either increase or remain the same".

Scientists, Experiments, Laws, and Theories:
Newton's _____ of gravitation.  Einstein's ______ of relativity.  Fill in the blanks please.  According to Google, there are 34,900 web pages listed for "Newton's law" of gravity, and 7,580 web pages listed for "Newton's theory" of gravity.  Again, according to Google, there are 44,300 web pages listed for "Einstein's theory" of relativity, and only 869 web pages listed for "Einstein's law" of relativity.  Why is it "Newton's Law", but "Einstein's Theory"?  Is Newton's law any more valid than Einstein's theory?  Just the opposite is true.  Einstein's theory of relativity is a more accurate description of physical reality, than Newton's so called law of gravity.  The dichotomy arises because humans have a built in bias or predisposition as to what they expect, based on their past experience.  What Newton described is what most humans experience AS reality.  What Einstein described is counter intuitive, and NOT at all what most humans experience AS reality.  Scientists being human, are also subject to predisposition in their outlook.  A classic example is the Michelson-Morley aether drift experiments of the early 20th century.  The experiments were conducted many times, over a number of years, using ever more complex apparatus, always with a negative outcome, until Michelson & Morley were finally forced to the conclusion that aether drift did not exist.  A result in direct contradiction to what they expected, and what was widely believed by most scientists of the time.  In many respects, the controversy surrounding the so called second law of thermodynamics parallels the aether drift, in that a majority of contemporary scientists believe it to be absolute, and therefore unbreakable.  The simple truth is that ALL scientific principals are theories, NOT laws, and therefore subject to revision at any time, based solely on experimental results.

 
1.2.1
Harnessing the Daemon:
In the 19th century world of James C. Maxwell, a daemon was the only imaginable entity capable of the feats he envisioned.  Today, at the dawn of the 21st century, most people own coffee pots and alarm clocks with more innate intelligence than Maxwell's Daemon.  Further, most industrialized nations have manufacturing facilities capable of fabricating devices on a molecular scale.  Can we of the 21st century build a daemon as Maxwell envisioned?  Unlikely, for a whole host of reasons.  However, this inability does not, in and of it self, invalidate Maxwell's hypothesis.  Lets rephrase the question.  Can we construct a device that will act as a one way trap door accumulator/coherer of heat (thermal energy)?  The answer is a resounding YES.  A laser is just such a device.  A photovoltaic solar cell is another device.  A laser converts incoherent (random) energy into coherent (ordered) energy, and in doing so, raises the effective temperature of the output beam well beyond even the temperature of the Sun.  The mechanism that creates this daemon like energy trap door, is called a population inversion, and will be discussed at length in the second part of this paper.  Next, consider a photovoltaic cell.  It converts Sun light (disordered energy) directly into a flow of electric current (ordered energy).  Again, a daemon like one way energy trap door is involved in the conversion process.  A photovoltaic cell is nothing more than a solid state rectifier (generally made of silicon) that has been optimized to collect light.  ALL solid state rectifiers will, to varying degrees, cohere both light and heat.  In the case of heat, the phenomena is called thermal carrier injection or thermal tunneling, and results in what is known as shot noise.  In most applications, this phenomena is considered detrimental, and is minimized by device design.

 
1.2.2
The Anti-Daemonic Rebuttal:
Those that would argue against the existence of Maxwell's Daemon will be quick to point out that examples cited in 1.2.1 while appearing to break the second law locally, do indeed obey the law globally.  They will say yes, entropy is lowered locally by the photovoltaic cell, but this is more than offset by the increase of entropy in the Sun, created by nuclear fusion.  In other words, they would redraw the boundary of the experiment to include the Sun, thereby avoiding any paradox between their view point and the experimental result.  In the case of the laser, a similar redrawing of the boundary to include the power plant supplying the laser alleviates the paradox.  All fine and good, however…  Why not adopt the same redefinition of boundary with respect to Maxwell's original daemon hypothesis?  Where did the kinetic (thermal) energy of the air molecules residing in the container (1.1.3) come from in the first place, if not from the Sun?  Is this reluctance to acknowledge the existence of Maxwell's Daemon, another example of scientific predisposition? (1.1.4)

Conclusions:
That working examples of anti-entropic devices already exist (1.2.1).  That these devices make use of natural or engineered "trap door" phenomena identical in concept to Maxwell's original daemon hypothesis (1.1.3 & 1.2.1).  That any anti-entropic device may be made fully compliant with the second law (theory) of thermodynamics by the simple expedient of redefining the experiment boundary (1.2.2).  That scientists, being human, are subject to the same predispositions of view point as any other human (1.1.4).  There are NO scientific laws, only theories to which, an experimental counter example, has yet to be discovered (1.1.4).

2.1.1
Introduction:
In part 1 one we covered the scientific and societal controversy surrounding Maxwell's daemon, and briefly touched on two devices that exhibit anti-entropic behavior.  In part 2 we shall take an in-depth look at the mechanism responsible for anti-entropic behavior in the laser.  This mechanism is called a population inversion, and until the mid twentieth century, was considered little more than a quaint mathematical curiosity, with no basis in physical reality.  In order to lay a proper foundation for discussion of inverted populations, sections 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 are included as a short review of classical thermodynamics.

 
2.1.2
Degrees of Freedom:
At it's most basic level, the science of thermodynamics is a statistical study of vibration and movement in populations of atoms or molecules.  In order to numerically quantify a population, it is necessary to understand how many different ways or modes of vibration and/or movement are available to the population.  For instance, a population of molecules that have magnetic properties, when under the influence of a magnetic field, may be constrained to movement in a single direction, and yet in the absence of a magnetic field, this same population may have nearly unlimited directions of movement.  In thermodynamics we use the term "degrees of freedom" to describe the number of available modes of vibration and/or directions of movement.  Alternately, degrees of freedom can be viewed as the set of locations available to a population of atoms or molecules when it moves or vibrates.  This set of available locations is called the population's "phase space".

 
2.1.3:
Temperature, energy, and entropy:
The concept of temperature arose from a need to quantify the human perception of hot and cold.  However at the beginning of the 19th century, no scientist was sure what temperature was really measuring.  It was well known that expending energy (doing work), such as drilling a hole, or bending sheet metal caused the material to get hot, so heat was related to energy in some manner.  But what was heat?  Some believed it was a discrete substance, separate from matter (they called it caloric), while others believed it was an inherent property of matter, like mass or volume.  In 1877, the debate was settled by the mathematician Ludwig Boltzmann.  He showed that heat is a property of matter, directly related to the energy stored in it's vibration and/or movement, AND related to the entropy (disorder) of that vibration or movement.  Unfortunately his theories were met with extreme skepticism by the scientific community of that era (Maxwell was an exception).  Despondent, he later committed suicide.  Had he lived just a few more years, Boltzmann would have seen his theories vindicated beyond his wildest dreams.  Scientific luminaries such as Albert Einstein and Max Planck used Boltzmann's theories in their work.  Work that has shaped modern quantum physics as we know it today.

 
Boltzmann's controversial equation, Eq. 1 relates the entropy of an atomic or molecular population to it's phase space (disorder).  As a side note, this equation was engraved on his tombstone...

Form our perspective, the utility of Eq. 1 is that it defines entropy (disorder) as the ratio of energy to temperature.  Looked at another way, given a population with a constant energy content, as entropy declines, temperature rises.  In other words, as the degrees of freedom available to a population diminish, those few degrees of freedom still available, MUST contain the entire energy content of the population, and this causes the temperature of the population to rise.

 
Thanks to the genius of Boltzmann, we can define the relationships between temperature, energy, and entropy

One last observation is relevant before moving on.  Eq. 2b implies that for any population with a non-zero energy content, as entropy approaches zero (one degree of freedom), the temperature of the population approaches infinity.

 
2.1.4
Maximum disorder:
Is there an upper limit to disorder?  The answer to this question depends on the degrees of freedom available to a population of atoms or molecules.  For most populations, and in the most general sense of the question, the answer is "no".  This answer has a practical consequence.  It implies there is no upper limit to temperature, since there will always be another dimension in phase space (degree of freedom), to which we can add another increment of energy, and thereby raise the temperature of the population.

 
However, if a population has a limited set of dimensions in phase space (limited degrees of freedom), there is a definite upper limit to disorder.  Surprisingly, the limit will be reached when exactly half of the dimensions in phase space are occupied by the population.  It is obvious that when a population of atoms or molecules contain no energy, they do not vibrate or move, and therefore all members of the population occupy a single point in phase space (no disorder).  Now consider the opposite condition.  I.E. Every member of the population is vibrating or moving in every available degree of freedom (all dimensions of phase space are occupied).  Again, all members of the population are exactly alike, and again there is no disorder.  Therefore maximum disorder (and entropy) is achieved when exactly 50% of the dimensions in phase space are occupied.  As a consequence of this remarkable situation Eq. 2b implies the temperature of a population at maximum disorder is infinite, and the temperature of any population where more than 50% of phase space is occupied is negative AND hotter than infinity.  Figure 1 shows the relationship between temperature and phase space occupancy for a population with limited degrees of freedom.

2.2.1
Quantum populations:
While classical physics allows populations of atoms or molecules to have nearly unlimited modes of vibration and movement (with corresponding degrees of freedom), quantum electrodynamics is a different story altogether.  Consider the electron orbits of a Hydrogen atom.  The allowed orbital values are discreet, and defined by Eq. 3.  Therefore electron orbits represent a population with very limited degrees of freedom (dimensions in phase
space).

As a consequence of Eq. 3, an atom will only absorb (or emit) electromagnetic energy at those frequencies corresponding to the difference in energy between allowed orbits.  In a population of Hydrogen atoms at room temperature, the vast majority of electrons are in the orbit N = 1, and the effective temperature of the orbital population is very close to zero.  Now suppose we pass a controlled electric current through the Hydrogen atoms, thereby raising the majority of electrons into the orbit N = 2.  We now have a population with only 2 degrees of freedom (two dimensional phase space) N = 1, and N = 2.  Further, since the majority of electrons (greater than 50%) are in the orbit N = 2, the population of electron orbits is at a negative temperature (see figure 1 above), and therefore hotter than infinity.  In thermodynamics terms, this is known as a population inversion, and under the rules of classical thermodynamics, was considered a physical impossibility...

 
2.2.2
The Laser:
In 1960, based on the thermodynamic principal of population inversion, Theodore Maiman invented the laser (U.S. Pat 3,353,115).  An intense source of light or electric current is used to excite electron orbits into a population inversion.  The only way these electrons can cool down is to emit a beam of electromagnetic energy (photons) at a single wavelength, equal to the energy difference between electron orbits (2.2.1).  Since the population of photons in the laser beam is of one wavelength (monochromatic), they have exactly one degree of freedom, and as shown in (2.1.3), for any non-zero energy, when S = 0 (W = 1 in Eq. 1), T is infinite.

 
The laser uses the population inversion of electron orbits as a "daemon-like, trap door" to convert low temperature energy into a coherent beam of light, hot enough to burn a hole through the Sun

 
2.2.3
The second law:
The second law of thermodynamics states that:

 
"In any cyclic process, the entropy must either increase or remain the same".

 
Consider a steam engine.  Steam engines can not convert all of the energy contained in the boiler to useful work.  Some of the energy must be dumped into a condenser.  The reason for this prerequisite is that extracting energy from a boiler lowers the entropy of the boiler, however dumping a smaller quantity of energy into a condenser (at a lower temperature) raises the entropy of the condenser more than entropy was lowered by extracting the larger quantity of energy from the boiler (2.1.3, Eq. 2a).  In other words, a condenser is needed to meet the requirements of the second law of thermodynamics.

 
For steam engines, or any other engine that operates on the principal of heat extraction, the second law of thermodynamics IS absolute (much to the benefit of OPEC).  If steam engines could break the second law of thermodynamics, then a steam engine could convert all of the energy from a boiler operating at room temperature, without needing a lower temperature condenser to dump waste energy.

 
2.2.4
Inverted populations:
Consider an engine extracting energy from a boiler containing an inverted population of atoms or molecules.  Since the act of energy extraction, raises the entropy of the boiler (2.1.4, 2.2.1), this engine DOES NOT require a condenser, and this engine will convert ALL of the extracted energy into useful work.  In other words, ANY boiler operating on the right hand side of figure 1 (beyond 50% phase space occupancy), is also operating beyond the point of maximum entropy (disorder), and unlike a conventional boiler, entropy increases as energy is extracted from an inverted population boiler.  Therefore no other step is required to meet the condition imposed by the second law.

 
We have just uncovered a loop hole in the second law of thermodynamics.  This loop hole does NOT allow us to break the second law of thermodynamics.  Rather, the loop hole allows us to neatly "side step" the consequences of the second law, as it's traditionally understood to apply, with respect to heat driven engines.  In other words, an inverted population exhibits anti-entropic behavior.

 
Or in more poetic terms, when operating on an inverted population, the spirit of Maxwell's daemon LIVES!

 
2.3.1
Conclusions:
That inverted populations can be created (2.1.4, 2.2.1, 2.2.2).  That inverted populations exhibit anti-entropic behavior (2.2.4).  That inverted populations can be used to side step certain consequences of the second law of thermodynamics as it applies to heat driven engines (2.1.3, 2.1.4, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4).  That when operating on an inverted population, the second law of thermodynamics DOES NOT preclude the existence of daemon-like "trap door" structures, as first envisioned by Maxwell (2.1.4, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.4).  In summary, some scientists will claim that while my arguments are theoretically correct, they have no basis in physical reality.  I would invite these scientists to aim a high power laser at their head, then carefully examine the "theoretical hole" in their head.

3.1.1
Introduction:
In part 3 of this paper, we shall examine population inversions as they apply to electromagnets.  In particular, we shall discover that when viewed from the perspective of inverted populations, many devices reported as exhibiting phenomena or behavior, inconsistent with the second law of thermodynamics, are in fact, fully compliant with the second law of thermodynamics.

 
3.1.2
Paramagnetic materials:
Any material with un-paired electron spins will exhibit magnetic properties to a greater or lesser extent.  These un-paired electrons will spin align with the applied magnetic field.  In paramagnetic materials, the spin alignment disappears when the magnetic field is removed.  Materials that are easily polarized produce a greater paramagnetic response.  In thermodynamic terms, the paramagnetic properties of un-paired electrons represent separate degrees of freedom (dimensions in phase space) in addition to the normal degrees of freedom (vibration and movement) possessed by all materials.

 
Further, unlike atomic or molecular vibration/movement which exhibit strong coupling between dimensions in phase space (degrees of freedom), electron spin alignment is (in most cases) only weakly coupled to other dimensions of phase space.  For this reason, it is appropriate to consider paramagnetic materials as consisting of two separate populations (electron spins, and bulk vibration/movement) interconnected through a large thermal resistance.  Therefore, in many situations, each population will posses separate numerical values for entropy, energy, and temperature.

 
In the presence of a magnetic field, the rules of quantum electrodynamics require the un-paired electron spins be either aligned, or anti-aligned to the magnetic field vector (two dimensions in phase space).  Therefore, un-paired electron spins in paramagnetic materials represent an excellent material for constructing an inverted population boiler (2.1.4, 2.2.1, 2.2.4).

 
3.1.3
Paramagnetic temperature dependence:
In 1880's, Pierre Curie (husband of Madam Curie), discovered the effect of temperature on paramagnetic materials, known as Curie's law Eq. 4.

Simply stated, above the Curie transition temperature, paramagnetic polarization varies as the inverse of temperature.  However, at the Curie transition temperature, electron spin coupling forces cause the magnetic susceptibility to become infinite.  Below the Curie transition temperature, the material exhibits ferromagnetism.


3.1.4
The inductor:
An inductor consists of an insulated wire, wrapped around a paramagnetic material, generally called the core.  Inductors exhibit the curious behavior of opposing any change in the flow of current through the insulated wire.  This electrical behavior is well understood by most scientists and engineers.  However, it seems that few scientists or engineers have ever bothered to consider the thermodynamic consequences of this behavior as it applies to the paramagnetic material comprising the core of the inductor.  Figure 2a shows an inductor, connected to a battery, through a switch.  When the switch is closed, an electric current starts to flow through the inductor, increasing linearly over time as shown in figure 2b.

Consider the population of un-paired electron spins in the paramagnetic core of the inductor, at the instants just before, and just after the switch is closed.

 
Before the switch is closed, there is no un-paired electron spin alignment, and therefore the un-paired electron spins have nearly limitless dimensions in phase space (degrees of freedom), AND the un-paired electron spin population is in thermal equilibrium with the bulk population.

 
After the switch is closed, phase space collapses to just 2 dimensions, because the un-paired electron spins must be either be aligned or anti-aligned to the applied magnetic field (3.1.2), AND since the paramagnetic polarization at this instant is zero (origin point in figure 2b), it follows that 50% are spin aligned, and 50% are anti-spin aligned.  Therefore, the temperature of the un-paired electron spin population is infinite (2.1.4), and obviously no longer in thermal equilibrium with the bulk population (heat flows from spin population into bulk population).

 
Next, as the current flowing through the inductor to rises, so does the magnetic field, thereby increasing paramagnetic polarization.  Anti-aligned electron spins are flipping into alignment with the magnetic field, and since entropy is declining as energy flows into the magnetic field (the battery is doing work on the inductor), Eq. 2b (part 2) implies the temperature of the electron spin population is now negative (hotter than infinity), AND declining (2.1.4 figure 1).  The situation is analogous to compressing a gas, where heat flows out of the hot gas, and into the container walls, except our "magnetic gas" is an inverted population (2.2.1, 2.2.4).

 
3.1.5
Inductive collapse:
Referring to figures 2a, and 2b (above), when the switch is opened current flow can not cease instantly.  The energy stored as un-paired electron spin alignments in the paramagnetic core must be removed (or dissipated) from the inductor before current can stop flowing.  The extreme case is represented by opening the switch, thereby causing an interruption of current flow, and results in an electrical arc across the switch contacts.

 
Consider the population of un-paired electron spins in the paramagnetic core of the inductor at the instants just before and after the switch is opened.

 
Before the switch was opened, current flow was rising (the battery was doing work on the inductor), un-paired electron spin alignment was increasing, electron spin temperature was negative and declining (inverted population), and heat was flowing out of the electron spin population, and into the bulk population (3.1.3).

 
After the switch is opened, the inductor must now do work on the rest of the electrical circuit in order to dissipate the energy stored in the magnetic field, supported by the un-paired electron spin alignments in the paramagnetic core.  However the un-paired electron spins can not spontaneously depolarize without gaining back the heat lost during alignment.  And since the energy contained in the inductor is being dissipated very quickly (by the arc), heat lost during alignment must now flow back into the un-paired electron spins very quickly as well.  The ONLY available avenue for the un-paired electron spin population to achieve rapid heat inflow, is for it's temperature to drop BELOW the temperature of the bulk population.  The situation is analogous to the explosive decompression of a gas, except of course our "magnetic gas" is an inverted population.

 
3.2.1
The magneto-thermodynamic engine cycle:
The magneto-thermodynamic engine cycle consists of three steps:

 
   1.
  Isothermal magnetization.
   2.
  Adiabatic demagnetization.
   3.
  Thermal equalization

 
3.2.2
Theory of operation:
The magneto-thermodynamic cycle theory of operation assumes the following two conditions.

 
Operating Conditions
   1.  
The use of un-paired paramagnetic electron spins for the working fluid, acting in accordance with the thermodynamic principals governing inverted populations.
   2.  
Adiabatic demagnetization during step two, causing un-paired electron spin population (working fluid) temperature to momentarily fall below the Curie transition temperature (3.1.3), thereby allowing ferromagnetic spin coupling forces to momentarily dominate.  Since these coupling forces arise as a result of interaction with the so called "zero-point" energy of electrodynamic space (see companion paper entitled Electrodynamic Space, part 1).  It follows that during step two, heat inflow from the bulk population must now overcome BOTH the normal paramagnetic polarization (3.1.5), AND the zero-point driven spin coupling forces.

 
Step 1 (isothermal magnetization) shifts the un-paired electron spin population of the inductor core into an inverted population state (2.1.4, 2.2.1, 3.1.4).  During this step, as un-paired electron spins align with the applied magnetic field, the entropy of the population declines, and heat flows out of the un-paired electron spin population, and into the bulk material population (3.1.2).

 
Step 2 (adiabatic demagnetization) causes a rapid decline in the temperature of the un-paired electron spin population (3.1.5).  During this decline in temperature, the un-paired electron spin population momentarily dips below the Curie transition temperature (3.1.3), thereby causing a momentary rise in total magnetic flux as ferromagnetic spin coupling forces contribute to overall un-paired electron spin alignment.  This momentary flux increase represents an additional increment of electromagnetic energy (beyond the energy stored in the inductor during step 1), available to the driven circuit.  Therefore the electromagnetic energy derived from the inductor during step 2, is greater than the electromagnetic energy stored in the inductor during step 1.

 
Step 3 (thermal equalization) Allows sufficient time for the heat deficient (caused by step 2), to be replenished from the ambient environment.

 
As a practical consequence of the two conditions (listed above), the magneto-thermodynamic heat engine will operate from ambient heat sources, without requiring a lower temperature condenser to dump waste heat.  In other words, the magneto-thermodynamic heat engine is a "perpetuam mobile of the second type", and satisfies ALL requirements of James C. Maxwell's Daemon, as he envisioned it.

 
Next, we shall cover each step in detail.

 
3.2.3
Step 1, Isothermal magnetization:
In figure 2a (above) the rate of change in current flow is set by the ratio of electric potential (voltage) to inductance as shown in Eq. 6.

The rate of change in current flow can be made arbitrarily small, by making the ratio of electric potential to inductance small as well.

 
Since the degree of un-paired electron spin polarization is directly dependent on the magnitude of current flow through the inductor.  It follows that a small rate of change in current flow will yield an equally small rate of change in un-paired electron spin polarization, and this will result in a small rate of heat outflow (into the bulk material population), and therefore a small temperature rise across the thermal resistance separating the un-paired electron spin population from the bulk material population (3.1.2, 3.1.4), thereby causing the smallest possible decline in magnetic susceptibility of the paramagnetic core of the inductor (3.1.3).

 
Strictly speaking step one is NOT isothermal.  However by proper circuit design and choice of paramagnetic core material, the decline of magnetic susceptibility in the core of the inductor can be minimized, which is the ideal condition for this step.

 
This step represents the compression stroke of our engine.

 
3.2.4
Step 2, Adiabatic demagnetization:
The time required for inductive collapse is set by the ratio of inductance to driven circuit impedance as shown by Eq 7.

The length of time required for inductive collapse can be made arbitrarily short, by making the driven circuit impedance very large.

 
The purpose of this step is to force the temperature of the un-paired electron spin population to fall below the Curie transition temperature (3.1.3, 3.1.5, 3.2.2), and thereby cause the magnetic susceptibility of the core to become infinite (onset of ferromagnetic behavior).  The ideal condition is met when the rate of change in the magnetic field of the inductor never drops to zero.  If the un-paired electron spin population temperature become too cold, the core will momentarily "freeze" in the ferromagnetic state, thereby causing the rate of change in the magnetic field to become zero.

 
During this step, the heat inflow to the un-paired electron spin population from the bulk material population is greater than the heat outflow during step 1 (3.2.3).  The reason being that heat inflow must overcome both the electron spin coupling forces caused by passage through Curie transition, as well as the regular paramagnetic polarization.  Conversely, the electrical energy delivered to the driven circuit by the inductor during this step, is larger than the electrical energy stored in the inductor during step 1.

 
In effect, step two has converted quantity of thermal energy into electrical energy.

 
Strictly speaking step two is NOT adiabatic.  However, by proper circuit design and choice of paramagnetic core materials, the rise in magnetic susceptibility during this step can be made sufficiently large.

 
This step represents the power stroke of our engine.

 
3.2.5
Step 3, Thermal equalization:
As the name implies, the purpose of this step is to allow the electron spin population and the bulk material population to once more, achieve thermal equilibrium with the ambient environment.  While in the strict sense of the magneto-thermodynamic cycle, this step is not required, it's inclusion greatly simplifies circuit design.

 
This step represents the intake stroke of our engine.

 
Further, NO exhaust stroke is required, since our engine utilizes an inverted population of un-paired electron spins, as it's "working fluid" (2.2.4).

 
3.3.1
Summary:
The fringes of scientific research are literally teeming with reports of inductive kickback devices that exhibit anti-entropic behavior or phenomena.  Most are dismissed as the rantings of crackpots and lunatics.  This paper presents a coherent rational explanation, based on proven scientific principals, in support of these devices, and the phenomena observed.  It is also intended as a "how to" guide for current and future researchers in achieving optimal performance from their devices.  To those free thinking individuals, operating at the boundaries of knowledge, I dedicate this paper.

 
3.3.2
Conclusions:
That un-paired electron spins in paramagnetic materials will exhibit the characteristics of an inverted population (3.1.4).  That a population of un-paired electron spins can be made to interact with the zero point energy of electrodynamic space, thereby capturing thermal energy, and making it available for work (3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.5, 3.2.2, 3.2.4).  That a cyclic heat engine, based on a working fluid, utilizing an inverted population of un-paired electron spins is possible (3.2.1, 3.2.2).  That said engine will exhibit anti-entropic behavior fully consistent with the principals of James C. Maxwell's Daemon (3.2.2, 3.2.4, 3.2.5).  That said engine is in fact, a perpetual motion device of the second type (3.2.2, 3.2.4, 3.2.5).

Abstract:
Over the years the existence and understanding of the aether has evolved as the basis for gravity and free energy effects at a micro and macro level.
Laboratory experiments have shown that superluminal energy and information transfer has been effectively accomplished via aetheric engineering, which effectively eliminates the theory of relativity and its absurd views of physics and cosmology.
The structure of the aether is summarized, as a superfluidic medium, including interrelationships of many of the basic universal constants describing physical phenomena with magnetic, electrical, and gravitic formulas.
The author summarizes experiments that he has carried out, as well as others. Also summarized will be the author's current view of where the maverick ("behind the scenes") science network has moved in engineering the aether.
The essence is that a worldwide, loosely associating group of engineers, physicists, chemists, and assorted garage shop experimenters have moved well beyond the stifling shrouds of the orthodox "science" community.
Experiments have proven that the aether exists, and that it is engineerable, even to the extent that gravity is controllable, free energy is possible, superluminal energy/information transfer is readily accomplished, and a plethora of new inventions in energy generation, transportation, and communication are now being engineered for the marketplace.
Introduction:
It is a pleasure to speak and write to such a distinguished group of scientists and engineers. I salute your courageous and forthright stand for truth in science and your valiant efforts to bring a measure of sanity back into physics.
As an confirmed aetheric scientist who has attempted to approach orthodox physicists, I appreciate your heroic efforts and pray God's blessing for us all. I am grateful to be able to give you some views on what I have discovered and where the real scientists are moving in development of THE new paradigm of physics.
In the following I use the term "aether" to distinguish it from the anesthetic, ether.
The Aether:
From my research over 35 years the existence of the aether is a reality. The experiments of Trouton and Noble, Sagnac, Michelson and Gale, Thirring and Lenze, and Fizeau all imply that the aether exists.
John Keely performed extensive experiments in engineering the aether including producing various gravity phenomena, controlled breakdown of matter into aether and then using the aether in experiments, etc.
My research and discoveries have led me to characterize the aether as follows:
  • 1. A superfluidic particulate medium which pervades all space.
  • 2. A medium, which in its various modes, is the building block of the physical universe.
  • 3. A medium, which, in one of its modes, is responsible for gravity and inertia.
  • 4. A medium which is controllable by our mind and can be manipulated my our thoughts.
  • 5. A medium which can be controlled by geometric shapes.
This paper will cover aspects of 2 and 3, topic 4 I leave for a more suitable time and space and topic one I assert as a basic premise as I have not visited all space; however, inference leads one to this conclusion. Topic 5 will be touched briefly in this paper.
Charge:
The charge of matter is due to its interchange with aether. The electron as well as the other subatomic particles are basically self-sustaining vortices in a fluidic particulate aether.
Charge represents a difference in concentration of the aether between two points. Mass (i.e., atomic particles) is made of aether, aether continually flows into and out of the particles as vortices, and the charge is due to its being at a different concentration of aether at a point in time and space than the local aether concentration.
The electron is a vortex of aether caught in a rotating standing wave due to the vibrating flow of aether which flows into and out of the atom's nucleus.
The charge of an electron, the Rydberg constant, and gravitational constant are also derivable from simple fluid mechanics1,2 treatment of the aether. See Table 1 for a summary of the simple relationships of the basic atomic and electrical constants as derived using fluid mechanics and treating aether as a superfluidic particulate medium.
Atomic Structure:
Atomic structure builds according to the rules of geometry and the basic polarity of atomic particles. Polarities are the result of aetheric flows into and out of matter.
John Ernst Worrel Keely was the first sub-atomic physicist. His basic elucidation of atomic structure was derived from his development of the science of vibratory physics. One of his basic discoveries was that of the substructure of the proton3. He discovered it was a vortex made of three sub- nuclear particles, also vortexes.
Further research led him to the idea that this three particle substructure continued down to smaller and smaller level of particles within each particle. Keely claimed to have learned to control the substructure 27 levels down from the basic proton. The Keely atom is depicted in a stylized format in Figure 1.
The first level of substructure was finally theorized in the orthodox community by Feynman in 1958. Keely's discovery antedated Feynman by over 60 years! Feynman called the three particles making up the proton quarks.
Gravity:
As summarized in Table 1, the gravitation constant as grad E correlates with the seminal work by T. Townsend Brown. Brown discovered that a capacitor will tend to move in the direction of the positive plate.
Apparent weight loss is the result when the plates are perpendicular to the local gravity gradient. This effect can be enhanced by making one plate much smaller than the other plate. This essentially forces the grad E to maximize.
It should be noted that grad E is independent of whether the field is AC or DC. Experiments have shown that even with this enhancement the capacitor does not have all its apparent weight nullified and levitate.
The reason for this can be found again in the nuclear particle's relationship with the aether. Even though each atom is in constant resonance with the aether this resonance is not synchronized across the mass4. Each atom is doing its own thing, so to speak, and there is a random interchange with the aether with respect to all the nuclei.
Thus, when a grad E acts as an aether pump across the capacitor plates only a small portion of the atoms become synchronized to this aetheric flow so the entire mass does not respond at the same time; therefore, all the atoms don't try and move at the same time. An interesting experiment suggested by Paul Stowe to test the grad E effect is shown in Figure 2.

Analysis of various apparently disconnected events where levitation was witnessed provides some important clues to a means of effecting synchronization of the nuclei. This was explained, in detail, in a paper by Davidson and Decker4.
Synchronization of the nuclei with the aether has been achieved by two main methods; namely, rotation or movement and sonically. Townsend Brown was quite open in publicizing his experimental results even though they were being funded in part by the Office of Naval Research out of San Diego.
However, when he started rotating his gravitors on their axis the results suddenly became classified and all information on his experiments ceased. It is suspected that major levitation resulted and this breakthrough was classified to protect the discovery so it could be exploited for national defense.
Analysis of the phenomenon of inertia provides the major clue to how rotation could act to synchronize the flow of aether into the nuclear sub- structure of the gravitors.
A seminal paper in Physical Review by Haisch, Rueda, and Puthoff theorizes that inertia is a result of mass's resistance of movement through the zero point energy (ZPE) field (i.e., the aether) because the mass, at the nuclear level, is linked directly into the aether.
Puthoff and his friends basically did a nice proof of what Keely stated, in 1896, that inertia was a result of the resistance of mass to the local aetheric field. Hence, it is easy to see that movement/rotation could cause the aetheric flows of the mass to reorient with respect to the direction of movement.
Sonic stimulation performs the same thing by getting all the atoms of the mass to resonate together which synchronizes aetheric flows into the nucleus. Several interesting levitation effects have been observed where sonic stimulation assisted in the levitation.

Levitation in Ancient Tibet:
Research into ancient religions reveals many startling levitation effects. One of the most detailed and interesting of these have been recorded by a competent witness5.
A Swede, Dr. Jarl, who studied at Oxford became friends with a fellow student from Tibet. Several years later, in 1939, he was asked by his friend to go to Tibet to treat a high Lama. His Tibetan friend had risen to high rank at his Lamasery and Dr. Jarl was privileged to learn many things which most foreigners would never hear about.
On one occasion, his friend took him to a meadow which was surrounded by high cliffs to the northwest. About 250 meters up the face of the cliff there was a hole which looked like the entrance to a cave. A rock wall was being built in front of the cave by Tibetan monks. Access to the cave could only be achieved from the top of the mountain. 250 meters from the face of the cliff, facing the cave, was a polished rock slab with a bowl shaped depression in it. A block of stone, 1.5 meters long by 1 meter wide and 1 meter high was lowered into the depression by a team of Yaks and monks.
Monks with19 musical instruments, consisting of 13 drums and 5 trumpets, were arranged in an arc of 90 degrees (see Figure 3) in front of the stone block. The instruments had the following measurements:
  • (1). 8 drums were 1 meter diameter X 1.5 meters deep X 3mm sheet iron and weighed 150 kg.
  • (2). 4 drums were 0.7 meter diameter X 1 meters deep
  • (3). 1 drum was 0.2 meter diameter X 0.3 meters deep
  • (4). All trumpets were 3.12 meters X 0.3 meters


All the drums were open on one end, mounted on poles, and aimed at the block of stone. The drums were beat by monks using a big leather club.
Behind each instrument was a row of monks. The monks started chanting and playing the musical instruments which lasted four minutes.
When the sound reached a certain level the large block of stone placed in front of them, occupying the focal point of the monks formation, majestically floated into the air and arched up to the construction site on the mountain above them where receiving monks guided the large block into place. The flight path of the huge stone took about 3 minutes.
This was not an isolated incident. The monks continued to perform this feat at the rate of 5 or 6 stones per hour. On occasion a stone was broken by the process which indicates that the sonic resonance forces are capable of destructive effects.
Calculations reveal that the volume of the large drums are similar to the stone block volume. The medium drums are one third the volume of the large drum and the small drum is a 41th of the medium drum and 125th of the large drum.
The exact volume of the large stone is not available; however, the harmonic relations of the drums implies it is about 1.5 cubic meters.
As to the trumpets, their length, 3.12 meters, is not a good indicator of its sound. Most trumpets are flared at the end so part of the trumpet is more for sound amplification than its frequency component. So, if the wave length of the trumpet is some harmonic of about 3 meters, then the trumpet produces a sound which is the second harmonic of the large drums (i.e., 3 divided by 1.5 equals 2). Thus we see that the drums and trumpets are all harmonically tuned to the size of the stone being levitated.
Another interesting aspect of this levitation demonstration is the small amount of power necessary to perform the levitation. The loudest tolerable sound pressure that a person can stand is approximately 280 dynes/cm2. From physics analysis9 this translates to about 0.000094 watts/cm2.
If we assume that each monk with his instrument produced one half this much sound energy (which is highly unlikely) and we make the further gross assumption that this is the amount of power that reaches the stone (actually sound dissipates rapidly over distance), we would have about 0.01 watts (i.e., (19 instruments + 19 X 4 monks) X 0.000094) hitting the huge stone block. This is an astoundingly small amount of energy actually hitting the 1.5 cubic meter stone to produce the effect.
To lift the stone 250 meters takes a prodigious amount of energy. Rocks such as granite and limestone have weights in the neighborhood of 150 - 175 pounds per cubic foot.
If we assume a nominal value of 160 pounds per cubic foot then the 1.5 cubic meter stones weighed around 8475 pounds (i.e., over 4 tons!!!). To lift the 8475 pounds 250 meters would require about 7 million ft-pounds of work (i.e., 8475 pounds X 250 meters / 0.30408 meters/foot = 6,968,035).
Since this was done over a 3 minute period then about 70 horsepower was produced (i.e., 7 X 106 foot-pounds / 180 seconds / 550 horsepower/foot- pound/second = 70.384).
This is equivalent to 52 kilowatts (i.e., 70.384 X 0.74570 kilowatts/horsepower = 52.5). The over unity power factor we obtain is 5,250,000 over unity (i.e., 52,500 watts/0.01 watts).
The monks were obviously tapping into a huge amount of free energy to levitate the huge stone blocks or gravity requires little power to effects its operation once the principles are understood.
Movies taken by Dr. Jarl of the levitation were confiscated by the society he worked for and classified. Analysis of the geometric measurements, taken by Dr. Jarl, of the levitation situation reveals that the distances are related to the speed of light and other earth resonance phenomena.
Levitation of 4 Ton Iron Sphere:
After Keely's untimely death in 1898, several investigators from the "Scientific American" magazine staff went to Keely's laboratory looking for evidence to support the idea that Keely was a fraud3.
They thought they found what they were looking for when they lifted the floorboards of a section of the laboratory and found a large cast iron sphere from which protruded pieces of iron pipe but the pipes were not connected to anything.
The sphere was estimated to weight 6,625 pounds and have a bursting strength of 28,000 pounds.
This event revived the charge that Keely had used compressed air to perform his miraculous feats; which, if true, would have earned Keely a fortune from compressed air inventions.
Research, by a friend of mine, uncovered a newspaper article, written while Keely was still living, which tells the story of how the iron sphere got under the floorboards.
It seems the newsman who wrote the article had gone to see Keely for possible newsworthy information. He found the inventor in his laboratory tearing a large hole in the floor. Keely greeted the reporter but did not seem to be in a talkative mood as he appeared quite busy.
After enlarging the hole, Keely attached a strange belt with several mechanisms built into it to his waist. He then attached a thin wire leading from the belt to a large sphere resting in the corner of the laboratory.
After a few minutes of intense concentration by Keely the ponderous globe slowly lifted a few inches from the floor.
Keely then "floated" the iron sphere over the hole in the floorboards and allowed the huge mass to settle to the ground below the floor level.
After a few adjustments to the belt mechanism Keely again seemed lost in rapt concentration. This time the globe slowly but inexorably settled itself into the earth, buried by the opposite of levitation; namely, supergravity.
Keely had evidently caused the apparent mass of the sphere to increase to such an extent that it sank into the firm earth much as a heavy rock sinks into mud. The inventor told the reporter that he was making room in his lab by clearing away outmoded equipment.
It is theorized that the belt mechanism Keely wore during the levitation feat tuned the atomic structure of the iron sphere so all the atoms were synchronized and aetheric force directed through the sphere caused it to levitate or gravitate.
The Detection of Aetheric Gravity Flow Using Dielectrics:
By now it should be obvious that the larger the mass the more aether which flows into the atomic structure of the mass. Mass is both radiating and absorbing aetheric energy.
Other mass in the vicinity will cause perturbations in this aetheric flow. Because of this fact, aetheric flow detectors can be constructed by taking advantage of this principle.
My first working gravity or local aetheric stress/flow detector was demonstrated at the 1990 Extraordinary Science Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado6.
The basic principle of the gravity detector is the fact that the electronic charge structure of a given mass is a function of the amount of aether flowing into the mass. The charge around the atom is governed by the amount of aether flowing into and out of the mass.
My reasoning was that dielectrics would make the best aetheric flow detector. Early success had been accomplished by Jerry Gallimore7 (circa 1975) and Townsend Brown8 (circa 1959) in using dielectric materials to detect local gravity effects.
In dielectrics the electronic charge is isolated and trapped within the dielectric material since the charge cannot flow and dissipate.
By using a high dielectric such as titanate zirconate or barium titanate the amount of charge change is directly readable by putting electrodes on each pole of a polarized dielectric.
My first detector circuit used a picoamplifier attached to the electrodes to amplify the signal. Then the voltage/current changes across the dielectric are easily measured directly by a voltmeter.
Figure 4 depicts the output of the gravity detector circuit as a graph of local gravitational stress (i.e., aetheric stress). The graph readily shows the daily swing of aetheric flow on the dielectric material as the sun and moon affects the earth's gravity field and gravity flows into the earth.
The data was taken during a solar eclipse and shows the effect of local aetheric field stress dropping during the period of the eclipse.
Experiments with the dielectric detectors showed they tend to be noisy and susceptible to temperature, light, and sound pressure. If you are going to experiment with this type of gravity detector be sure to isolate the dielectric from temperature swings, light and sound.
Greg Hodowanec did some experiments9 in 1986 and claimed success in detecting aetheric energies. He used an ordinary capacitor as a detector and an operational amplifier to boost the change in capacitance occuring in the capacitor.
Analysis of his data shows it does not correlate with any known phenomena. Hodowanec's detector should at least have tracked daily aetheric changes due to the effects producted by the sun and moon. My experiments with his detector showed it is highly susceptible to temperature changes and it is quite possible the data he published were temperature effects.
The Detection of Aetheric Gravity Flow Using DNC Coil:
In discussing my results of gravitational energies (i.e., aether stress flows) with a fellow gravity researcher, Joe Parr, he mentioned he had similar results with dielectrics and had accidentally discovered a better detector.
It was a strange coil to which he attached the moniker "Do Nothing Coil" (DNC). The DNC would detect the aetheric gravity flow without the bothersome temperature, photonic, and sonic noise effects.
Joe called the coil "do nothing" because it did not respond in any significant manner to magnetic or electrical signals from DC to about 300 Ghz. By accident he discovered that the coil's resistance changed during a 24 hour period.

The DNC coil consists of about 8000 turns of number 34 copper wire wound on a plastic hoop. In my duplication of the DNC coil I got a Hula Hoop and cut it open, removed the plastic noise maker beads, and shortened the tubing length to make a plastic loop 19 inches in diameter (i.e., center of toroid on one side to center of toroid in other side).
To wind the coil I set the coil form and wire and electrician tape on the coffee table in front of the TV set and whenever I was watching TV I would wind a couple of hundred turns on the loop and cover the turns with black electrician tape to keep the coil in place. After a couple of months I finally had wound the DNC coil. A BNC connector on the two ends of the coil completed the job.
Figure 5 shows the results of a few days of data taken with the DNC coil. The graph clearly shows the daily resistance changes. The change in resistance is a direct readout of the local aetheric stress flow changes.
Resistance changes in the coil because the atomic lattice electronic charge of the metal in the wire changes as more or less aether is flowing in the nuclei of the coils atoms.
During the course of a 24 hour period the sun, moon, planets as well as the stars put differing stress levels on the earth's aetheric field which directly affects the flow rate into the nucleus.

The Parr Pyramid Gravity Experiments:
Another gravity sensor which Joe Parr has discovered involves the Great Pyramid and pyramid shapes in general. A static (i.e., non-moving) pyramid was aligned north-south/east-west and flat coils wound on audio tape reels were placed on the north and south side of the pyramid.
A spark gap made from a blown 1 microfarad capacitor was place at the apex of the pyramid in series with a battery, resistor and chart recorder (see figure 6). The chart recorder registered daily changes in the energies around the pyramid.

The chart recorder records the state of a bubble of energy which surrounded the pyramid. The energy bubble over time had various levels of opacity to all types of radiation.
Experiments putting radio frequency emitters, radioactive sources - specifically beta emitters, magnetic sources, and ion sources all showed attenuation when in the energy bubble which surrounds the pyramid.
Intensive research over 13 years showed that the bubble could be fed negative ions and this would intensify the opacity of the bubble. At certain times of the year the energy bubble would totally block the force of gravity, nuclear radiation, and electromagnetic radiation. Another effect noted that the pyramid seemed to be resonant at 500 and 1000 Hz.
At one time during the 11 year sun spot cycle the static pyramid sensor went dead and quit providing data. In order to find another method of continuing the research the reasoning was that a moving sensor could possibly continue providing data. Joe Parr built an elaborate experimental setup he named the "centrifuge". The centrifuge is illustrated in figure 7.
Extensive experiments with the centrifuge provided additional data on the pyramid energy bubble.
Positive ions in the centrifuge would cause the pyramid to be drawn to the moon. Negative ions in the centrifuge would cause the pyramid to be repelled away from the moon.
At certain times of the year (around December 8th-15th and May 8th-15th) the energy bubble around the pyramids in the centrifuge would become totally opaque to local gravitation and inertial forces and rip off the end of the centrifuge arm causing extensive damage to the interior of the centrifuge.
Detailed analysis of the amount of energy of the pyramid, when they ripped free, showed that an 8 gram pyramid had approximately 2000 pounds of force (i.e., 113,000 times increase in kinetic energy). It is hypothesized that the pyramid moves into a different time/space condition called h-space.
The centrifuge experiments also correlated with the static pyramid in that putting radio frequency emitters, radioactive sources, magnetic sources, and ion sources all were attenuated when in the pyramid energy bubble.

The Parr Gravity Wheel Experiment:
Other research led Joe Parr to hypothesize that perhaps a three dimensional pyramid was not totally necessary. A new experiment was devised which replaced the large centrifuge with a small wheel mounted on a shaft and spun by a small high speed motor.
Around the periphery of the wheel are copper triangular shapes. When the motor spins the wheel the copper triangles move between permanent magnets mounted statically on either side of the wheel. This new experimental set up is depicted in figure 8.
The author had been following Joe Parr's experiments over a several year period and after Joe had some initial success with the new experiment the author, with Joe Parr's assistance, built a duplicate experiment.

It took several months to get my version of the experiment to operate successfully. Tuning involved getting the experimental setup oriented properly and proper grounding. The shaft must be oriented east-west. A negative ion source is set within a few feet of the spinning wheel to feed the force fields which form around the copper triangles on gravity wheel.
The experiment is set on a delicate scale which measures accurate to 0.5 grams. The static weight of my experimental setup is about 1200 grams. Joe Parr's version is about 1800 grams. My experiment used machined maplewood to hold the motor and shaft, and the stanchions which hold the magnets and Parr's experiment was made of machined aluminum.
During experimental operations the weight of the experiment can drop from 0 to 6.5 grams. When one considers that the gravity wheel with the copper triangles weighs about 24 grams the total normal operational levitation effect is on the order of 25% weight loss. This by itself in a remarkable experimental effect and deserves acute attention.
The scale which is used in the experiment is an Ohaus Precision Plus purchased from Cole Parmer. The scale can measure accurately within 0.1 grams over a range of 0-4000 grams. The scale has an RS-232 serial interface which allows the scale to be interfaced to a printer or computer.
The scale outputs the weight continuously except when there is a scale upset. The upset weight can be varied and it was set at the maximum of 5 grams. This means that if the scale weight is changed more than 5 grams within a couple of milliseconds then the RS-232 interface stops outputting the weight.
My preliminary hookup of the scale was to a computer; however, the intense forcefield which builds up around the experiment destroyed two computer interface cards. Since the RS-232 interface stops outputting data on a scale upset, the serial output of the scale was converted to a voltage level and used as an indicator.
When the voltage drops, a scale upset has occurred. The voltage level was/is interfaced into a pulse counter. This provides a count of scale upsets greater than 5 grams. Figure 9 is a graph over time of scale upsets. This shows the count of when the gravity wheel changed weight over 5 grams. If the 6.5 gram weight loss is added to the 5 gram upset, we are looking at about a 50% weight loss of the gravity wheel. Joe Parr's data showed a correlated hit with my experiment's data on April 11th.

There are two basic types of force fields built up in and around the experiment. There is an ovoid shaped forcefield around each of the copper triangles.
When these small force fields build up in intensity they cause a drag on the motor which can be plainly heard in the lab. There is a larger forcefield which builds up around the entire experiment setup.
Independent tests with a clairvoyant, a clairsentient, and a dowser all verify the large force field around the experimental setup. Figure 10 depicts the approximate shape of the large force field.
What seems to be happening is the earth moves through energy conduits which go from our sun to other planets and star systems. When the gravity wheel experiment crosses one of these energy conduits, the forcefield around the copper triangles intensifies to the extent that the bubble starts moving either toward the conduit or away from the conduit very rapidly and a scale upset occurs.
Attempts at simulating the energy conduit thus far have failed. We are in the process of evaluating the data and we have found some correlation with planetary and stellar conjunctions where the earth gets lined up with other planets or stars and our sun.
The data analysis is currently in its infancy so we can make no statements of solid fact other than that we are getting some very impressive gravitational effects.

The Current State of the Unorthodox Science Community:
What is happening in the science community is a number of scientists from all branches of science and engineering have become disillusioned with the suppression of scientific information within the orthodox science community.
Many disillusioned scientists, engineers, and technicians, have taken to doing experiments on their own to prove or disprove ideas and theories not acceptable to the orthodox community. These experimenters are proving concepts which are, in some cases, far beyond where currently accepted science is at the present time.
The following summarizes a few of the breakthroughs of what I believe the "underground" science community has achieved and its current status.
  • 1. Superluminal energy transmission - demonstrated at the 1988 International Tesla Symposium10. This effectively negates Special and General Relativity. There are many other examples of superluminal effects; however, its nice to see someone has got it down to being able to demonstrate it. Tesla proved superluminal effects during his experiments at Colorado Springs also.
  • 2. Working free energy devices - examples are the Floyd Sweet VTA, the Hyde electrostatic OUO motor (claimed but not demonstrated), the Patterson Cold Fusion cell, and the Takahashi magnetic motor. There are also well documented cases of historical free energy devices. In a myoptic view these devices negate the basic tenents of thermodynamics;however, with the view of a universal energy rich aether as part of the equation there are no truly closed systems and themo's second law still applies. We merely have energy exchange with the aether.
  • 3. Demonstrated anti-gravity effects - Joe Parr Gravity Wheel and the Floyd Sweet VTA in special mode goes anti-gravitic.
  • 4. Low energy transmutation of atomic elements - Dr. Backrus (Texas State University) cold fusion and transmutation experiments, Joe Champion's precious metal synthesis, Kervan's "Biological Transmutation of the Elements" 12.
  • 5. Ball lightning production - demonstrated at the 1992 International Tesla Symposium by Dr. Corum (Professor of Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University) 13.
  • 6. Conversion of EM to a pure aetheric stress wave and transmitted energy in this mode efficiently and effectively - John Bedini 14, 15.
  • 7. Developed detectors which detect non-hertzian energies - Dan Davidson and his dielectric gravity wave detector, Joe Parr and his DNC, Parr and Davidson and the gravity wheel experiments, Gallimore and his dielectric gravity and aetheric stress detectors.
  • 8. The current status is that there are now estimated to be 2000 -3000 active, science experimenters world wide doing unorthodox research and experiments on technologies beyond the currently accepted paradigms of science. We now have our own symposiums and conferences (about 10 of these per year). We collaborate, trade information, and communicate over the computer networks (i.e., the internet and BBSes) and normal mail systems. Many of us have pretty much given up on the orthodox "science" community and we are cutting our own path into new vistas of science and technology. We echo the refrain - "to boldly go where none have gone before".
  • 9. Where we are going - It is my firm opinion that we are on the verge of a major revolution in science and technology. In almost every area of scientific endeavor we have major breakthroughs happening regularly. If you thought that science and technology took some major leaps in the last 50 years you haven't seen anything yet. When any one of the above discoveries becomes well known the positive effects on our civilization will defy description.

Conclusion:
The beauty of these discoveries is that they are all interrelated so a synergistic effect will be produced whereby a breakthrough in one area will vastly improve our understanding in other areas.
For example, a breakthrough in gravitational physics will provide a deeper understanding in nuclear physics, free energy production, superluminal energy production, aetheric engineering, etc.
Again, I salute you for your stand for truth and openness in science.
